the second video is a lil more melodic and more of a trance style i would enjoy
and exactly what seb said, back years ago yea he was banging out some really solid trance but he was mixing it with techno and other genres
iam still unsure about this gig i wanna see what else is going on around that time, plus the price since i probly wont be going to ezoo this could be a cheaper alternative in august

agreed with last two posts, pvd in his past created a journey with house, techno and trance. the backbone that drove the 'bang' element in was a techno flavor....
today thats been mostly replaced with a banging electro sound. it's not the same. but it still sounds the most like the pvd we all remember fondly - anyone else marrying high energy with high melodic moments is total noise and cheese in my opinion. that's why i generally listen to deeper house and grooving techno sounds. or maybe i grew old.

Besides, this is my fav venue for summer events and not much else going on there in terms of events and line-ups to my liking so far this summer..seems like pvd's going to do a 6 hour set, I wonder who will do the opening 2 hours..

im grabbing 2 tickets right now. this and the "New York Made" - digweed danny and calderone wolf+lamb
going by the prior event he did at this venue, and just a general hunch, i definitely would not expect any opener. i think paul will start the music himself at 6, and it'll sound like he's doing his own warmup with summery more housey sounds, then the second half will turn into a typical 3 hour set from him. this is exactly how it played out previously, and there's no good reason to assume different as far as i can tell.
