when Mark Twain spent much of 1878 in Heidelberg, he was invited (insistently) to the famous theater in Mannheim not far away, to see a very famous singer in an opera there.
He was not impressed by the performance, and said so to his hosts.
They answered him:
of course, but you should have heard him in his prime!
Why I'll still go to G.I. for this most like...

Keep hating and perhaps he gets wind of the hate and says it - They want an old show......
Dream of course but it'll still be fun....
To hear him genre bend and toss n breakbeats fr good measure would make this old man a happy little boy.
I'm going to be psyched to hear Lost in Berlin though for sure. Dig that track! |

RIP PVD. you had us going for a while. i miss ya buddy! |
Swedish House Paul.
Anyway, I went to so many of his shows in the past and had an amazing time. I know if I attempt at going to this, I won't enjoy myself cause of the music and my different expectations. Oh well |

| I have been listening to PvD sets from 1999 and 2000. They are so good. I hope he plays some old classics at this show. |

You're setting yourself up for a disappointment.. He will play some classics but not in their old form, those will be mashed up or updated versions that sound quite a bit different but still recognizable.. It will be great and I can't wait myself but I'd lower my hopes a bit if I were you ;) |

@cd023
you better heed that advice if you're not into buzz-kill... (see the Twain above for a more old fashioned take on what panda's saying) |

Biting the bullet and going to this. I know the Blkmrkt event will be fun and have great music/vibe, but wanted to go for something a little different my last day in NY. There will definitely be a flash or two of the old PVD over the course of six hours, but
I'm keeping my expectations very low. I just plan to hang out with friends, keep the libations flowing, and make it a good time. Best case scenario, I suppose, is that PVD strings together a good 2+ hours of classic "him" and creates some nostalgia. :toocool: |
