I don't. I assumed theories in science postulated as much, but I've already mentioned I may be ignorant in the matter. But according to what you wrote, science cannot account for what was before the Big Bang, so I appreciate you clearing that up.
| quote: | | To me, your whole outlook is extremely lazy and dumb, but then again, I wasn't pushed to believe in some nonsense when growing up, to which, I assume, you were thoroughly made to believe by your elders. |
Not at all. I was raised completely secular and came to my conviction and beliefs through my own experiences, which I have already mentioned more than once, I believe. Thankfully I was able to live in both secular and "religious" communities/environments, engage in both plenty of secular/non-observant and Jewish activities/observances, and had my recent experience with Iboga, all of which have shaped my current beliefs and perspective. And, of course, my conversations and interactions with people from all walks of life, both secular and religious/observant.

On the contrary. If anyone provides me evidence or strong support in favor of disproving a Creator, I'm willing to listen. So far nobody has done so. And so far Lews hasn't answered my question, either, which only conduces to my convictions.
| quote: | | And the Iboga thing just really proves you have very little hope. |
I'm sorry you feel that way. I disagree, however. I don't feel coerced to follow any "religion," I simply try and follow my creed out of personal choice. I'm still very much engaged in secular life, as well, and am making my own choices, not simply those that are prescribed to me in the Holy texts (which I do, nevertheless, believe in - again, based on my own personal experiences and the fulfillment, inner joy, connection to others, myself, and the world around me, etc. I felt/feel by doing so).

Alpha if you can answer a few questions I would consider becoming religious. |
Ask away, if you like. I also don't like the word "religion." |

Don't worry none of my questions have to do with religi-n. Oh maybe one but I can hyphen the o.
1. Do you live with your parents?
2. Do you hold a job?
3. Have you ever made love to a woman? If so how do you hyphenate the o in god when you cum?
4. If jesus can walk on water, can he swim on land? |

I'm currently living with my dad for some time, primarily because of my former "condition," which was impairing my everyday functioning in life. I've lived on my own before, however, both here and abroad.

At the moment, no, but I've "held" jobs. I'm deciding now whether to pursue work here in New York, or go back to Spain and work with my provider there.

If by "love" you mean sex, then yes, plenty of times. I can also write "God," I just prefer not to, out of personal choice. I have said "God" plenty of times, however. |

how does science/evolution reconcile the beginning of creation/big bang? |
it's called mathematics. you should already know this though, given all the time you've spent in rigorous contemplation. |

Okay, enough kidding around. The real answer is this:
Our whole universe was in a hot dense state,
Then nearly fourteen billion years ago expansion started. Wait...
The Earth began to cool,
The autotrophs began to drool,
Neanderthals developed tools,
We built a wall (we built the pyramids),
Math, science, history, unraveling the mysteries,
That all started with the big bang! |

I asked because I had feeling you were struggling against something to be that heavily invested in religion. Doesn't mean I agree with anything you said. |

Not really struggling against anything now except trying to make up my mind whether I want to go back to Spain and work with my provider, or pursue work/career here. My "breakdown" actually happened nearly 3 years ago, back in Israel, where I was heavily invested in religion. I'm hardly now, however, and am taking it slow, unlike before. |
