I dont understand why you are all firing attacks at the guv for.
1) wasn't the "Labour Of Love" The one charles repeatadly apologized for and gave free tickets to the next even over?
2) isn't the guv one of the two clubs that brings in good international djs?
3) do you think viva or others are as good as the guvernment when it comes to fire & health safety?
i might be wrong on #1 but i dont know why toronto natives are attacking toronto's best nightclub |

If a disaster like at Chicago were to happen to the Guv, it would be awful. The club would close; this would indirectly lead to the closure of many other clubs, maybe even Viva, and lastly would ruin Toronto's already well established party reputation.
We are mearly concerned for our healthy future partying. |

Ok i can understand that, but from what i've seen Guvernment security & other toronto nightclub security is a little more professional in getting fighters out of a club then just spraying pepperspray all over the place.
All this publicity is negative publicity for the club & the owners. |

Sure, pepperspray is very unlikely to be brought out during a fight at the Guv, but you have to admit that the over crowding at the Guv needs to stop. Labour Of Love was in rediculous. There were times were it was hard to breathe let alone dance for christ sake. This guy Charles has a lot of nerve letting this many people in the club on a weekly basis, and i hope all of these ideas you guys have come up with have some type of positive effect. |

| I've seen his office- it's rather boring, aside from the $15,000 lamp hanging over his desk- a lamp that would look much better IN the club, and not in his boring office. But, when I saw that lamp, I knew what all those nights of cramming people in over capacity buys you.... |

No .. No club should pack it so tight that the attendees feel pushed out and over-crowded....
My last party at the Guv was Corsten and it was way too packed! |

ok am i the only slow one here not to see this thread before??
now i know it wont do much but i say that as many of us should write in in response so we can be heard on a large scale....
so what if guv may be one of the 2 biggest clubs???
i wouldnt mind it if viva got in all the big names instead...would be the ultimate.... best lights, sound, pyros and the best djs??? i dont think that would be bad??
oh and did i mention no ginos and no fakes??? ya..that WOULD be the ultimate |

Personally, i just hope Guv gets wise from this tragedy and makes the average clubbers experience a not so tight/dangerous one. Two mega clubs are better than one!!

i totally agree... but they deserve to be shut down, not because of competition but because there are more decent, unselfish people out there that deserve our money |

| tru say .. i was at Labour of Love and i don't wanna rant about that anymore. some of you know how close i came to having a serious incident occur with someone i knew. anyhow, i think all this talk by Charles K. is more like damage control to me.. i mean it's not like he didn't know all this was gonna bring some negative publicity to the club and the scene in general.. let's hope these people in Chicago didn't die in vain, atleast if it ends up changing somethings here.. |
