LOL, I found this in someone else's reply...

Yes, we've all heard about your awe-inspiring achievements in Honours History For Pretentious Ignoramuses at the University of Butt Nowhere. Perhaps you've forgotten that half of TOTA is comprised of very high-achieving university students, often in the science sector?

I'll also point out that I know a few people myself who've easily obtained marks of 95+ in history courses.

But that's no matter, I'm sure your partially-completed history degree makes you an expert on medical science and narcotics, right?

Argh, can we just accept that this guy is a dolt and end the discussion?

Which is why you got flamed, and will continue to get flamed. All of your 2 cents come across in a completely sarcastic and arrogant manner.

If you don't appreciate getting flamed, dont post like that. Simple.

95+ in history, english programs might happen once in a blue moon. It should NEVER happen at a respectable institution, and I'll tell you for certain that the highest mark that the professors will give at Huron College is an 86 or 87 at the VERY MOST. There are only four history professors at Huron and I've had them all over the last 3 years...NOT ONE STUDENT has EVER received a 90..even on some stupid little research assignment worth 5% of the overall mark. So maybe students do get 95+ at the University of Butt Nowhere or the University of I Made It Up Because I'm Talking (where your friend obviously goes), but it doesn't happen at a REAL University.

Maybe you should take a history course sometime and see how you do.

There you go again, trying to make yourself sound so much more educated than everyone else. Come on man. I hope you realize that those marks mean in the real world. Guess what, when McDonald's is going to be hiring you after you graduate they will not look at the marks you got in your undergrad.

95+ in history is impossible....it is a subjective study. There is no right answer in any topic or issue and any thesis or opinion is always open to interpretation. To give a 95 on an essay basically means the essay is perfect and, unlike the sciences, there is no perfect answer in subjects like history. I think the vast majority of history professors around the world would roll their eyes upon hearing of an essay or exam that was given a 95 by one of their colleagues.
