but this is one nagging little bitch point I have with people who don't care about history. People who have never taken a history course or ever read anything or watched a documentary are totally ignorant about it and don't wear poppies.....they piss me off. My friends in CS and chemical engineering (6 of them)...NONE of them wore a poppy at all this month. Why? Because they're absorbed in their own study that they don't care about some of the bigger issues and traditions in our country.

I've lived in 9 different coutries so far, 5 different continents. That's not counting the countries i've visited... does that make me better than anyone else here? Don't think so.
Honestly, just because you travel a lot doesn't make you a bigger or better person.
Try using other arguments if that's what you're trying to prove

um yes, but I was using that argument to refute the argument that I had never experienced the real world. I've seen more of the real world that a lot of the people on this board. Try reading what was said prior to my comments and you won't look like an ass.

I agree 100% with you Smitty. They piss me off as well. But none of us are in the category of "people who don't care about history".

And thanks by the way - I've gone from being a trance addict to a senior trance addict in one day :happy2:

Yes because England and France are not exactly the same thing as Canada which came from England and France. You are so worldly.

Well it sure seemed like Stereo Princess doesn't care about history. He/she said my degree will be useless and that I'll have no job in 5 years and that we shouldn't even bother studying history because it's going to repeat itself anyway, so why study it? I'd call that not caring about it.
