Hi Smitty! Did you miss me?

So you've travelled through the UK then have you? What about Mexico, Barbados, Bahamas, most of the eastern and western US seaboards, nearly every Canadian province, most of Western Europe, Croatia, Scandinavia and 6 months in India?
Hmmm.... I see....

Serious question though - and please don't take this as an insult: How do you make friends acting like you do?

I have plenty of friends, thank you, which is why I've never showed up at a TA meetup. I'm not sure I'd want to socialise with the majority of you people anyway. The only people that seem nice to me are Tatgirl and Starsearcher...the rest of you...meh.

I have heated arguments with my friends all the time about topics like this. My one friend is a Muslim and very religious. We'll get into huge fights about religion (since I think it's all bull and he's devoted)...but in the end we agree to disagree. My friends don't take anything too seriously like you guys do. You are one overly sensitive bunch.

That's nice again. But please make sure you know who you are talking to. I wasn't born in Canada. I lived in a communist country, don't tell me about your worldly travels to the UK. Poland has more history in its pinky finger then Canada could dream of.

But you are returning to a topic that is not part of the thread. Why? Because you refuse to educate yourself on the topic at hand.

Every Canadian province yes.....21 states yes...Cuba and the barbados yes. Oh, and by the way, I actually went to school in England for 8 months when I was 14 and have spent a total of a year and a half of my life there..and two months in France total. I didn't do a whirlwind tour thank you very much.

Yes, yes I did. Slavery isn't necessarily inherently evil (at least given certain circumstances). From what I remember. Read up on Chomsky.;)

Poland? You're comparing Poland to Canada.....I know a few eastern european guys and from what they tell me, Poland is the hole of Eastern Europe. Why don't you check out the UN rankings on Poland or you could ask yourself why you're in Canada in the first place.

Anybody want to take a stab at guessing what was the first country in the world to ever formally ban slavery and then enforce it as international law throughout the globe?

I'm not trying to compare numbers here buddy (or, should I say, dude). I'm just saying that you shouldn't presume to know other people's backgrounds or experiences and ask if any of us have ever even left Canada... and I still don't see how visiting only the "western" world has broadened your horizons. What about the rest of the planet? And before you write back about this, I acknowledge that I still have much to see as well.

UK is a ing walk in the park. You are saying that you experienced the world by living in the UK. you, you little . Don't ing call my country a hole. Who the are you to decide! I'm proud of my country. Its beautiful and had been through a lot in the past century and its pretty ing good for being almost non-existant at the turn of the 1900s.
