WOW
the magnitude of Sensation is nothing that can be seriously described in words. Walking in and just looking at the seas and seas of people all dressed in white is something that I will never forget. Although the music overall was pretty crap (David Guetta was ok, but the rest didn't impress me what so ever)its the actual experience of being at sensation and production which will live in my memory for a long time. Havn't got much time to write alot however would just like to say that it is something you must do at least once in your life. Head still spinning (when the due at the coffee shop tells you to take one shroom and wait for it to hit, listen to what he says!lol)
This is Sid saying hello to you all, hopefully catch you guys soon.

yo
well sensation was pretty good, nothing compared to 2003 though. Guetta playing the original Smells like teen spirit was the highlight. Armin was ok, bit hard, and marco v was yeah banging and good also. not much more to say... was WAY overcrowded which put a downer on the night, was only really at the front for armin and a bit of marco, it took ages to get from the front to the back.
but Sid took the cake, wanting to have the other 2 shrooms before the first 2 kicked in.
So now he is still wrecked but is behind me having his 4th "space tea" lol! sid dont stop!
being with friends is the best part of this trip.
more laters

fark PACE YOURSELF sids!! it's only the beginning of the trip lol.
interesting comments there guys. i knew the lineup wouldn't wet your pants (especially if you compare to previous years, and with your current tastes in mind) but yeah it's the atmosphere and production (and the people) that you go for.
kinda dodgy the way they went about it this year, announcing lineup after the tickets were sold. sensation packed? how many tix were sold this year? it was 40,000 last year but we still had heaps of room to move. it was just at the bar area that it was packed. no surprising when you have thousands of people wanting to buy drinks at the same time.

Only Armin and Marco V were the best of the bunch.
Jean what a load of e! Felt sorry for the guy just dropping tracks in, no attempt at mixing whatsoever!
Anyone see Jean throw the Vinyl? Hit some poor gal crack on the head. |

Stockholm
What can I say? one of the most beautiful cities in the world and the people to go with it. Having no expectations when Cam and I arrived in this place, I cant really see how the rest of this trip can get any better, especially after we had what will go down as the highlight of our trip last night.
Monday Night, chatting away in our 1m by 1m apartment and realise that its time to get moving at 10.15pm where the sun is shinning brighter than any part of the day!lol Heading to Struleplan (main bar and club area here) we walk past a poster with the name Ozgur Can on it and by absolute sheer coincidence he happened to be playing on the night. Cam starts running around like a headless choke asking people how to get to this place and so we jump on the metro train and get before you know it we are at the joint all ready for a big night. Our luck got even better when we discovered that the club was literally outside the station! Cam asks one of the 1000000000000000000000000000 hot swedish girls with clean skin (personel joke) and she points to the line where the thumping prog is coming out of!lol Walk into the place and it was in all honesty nothing like ive ever experienced for a normal club night on a MONDAY. People dancing to prog like they were at a metal concert or something!lol and just a vibe that we both have never experienced. Warming into the night, sipping away on some drinks, enjoying the company of a very talented Swedish girl (Sid has done you proud my friends!lol) when Cam gets introduced to Envio and Ozgur himself. Absolute champions! spent a good portion chatting away with the dudes who were completely smashed off their and by the end of it all were offering us a place to stay for the rest of the time here!lol night drew to a gradual close after that and the Swedish gurners kept begging for more, but to no avail. On the way out, Cam and I begin to freak that the sun still hasn't set at 3am when one of Josh's disciples (a ver keen transvestite) tells Cam that he is cute "Oh he's cute" (in a Swedish transvestite voice). Had us laughing all the back to the hotel and capped off one of the most memorable nights of our life.
In closing, do your self a favour and visit Stockholm at least once. People are so friendly, chicks are breath taking, sites and views are nothing short of amazing and most importantly the Swedes know how to throw a party. This is Sid saying Heyda (Goodbye in Swedish I think!lol) |
