I'm staying in Tel Aviv only, so if u hear of any bad stuff happening any where else, I'm probably not anywhere near it. Back on the 30th- take care! |
Awwww...That's awesome I wish I could go as well...Have an awesome time even though all security will be really tight. |

Why won't Israel declare an official war than?
With its supperior army it would be no match for the forces that govern Palistine and other neighbouring countries, Sharon finds as enemies of the state. Mind you they would have to follow the UN guidelines as to the treatment of POWs and civilians, but as a westernized country it believes it is it would have no problem doing that right? |
IDF = Israeli DEFENCE Force
Israel believes that it can co-exist in peace with its neighbours, and willing to make peace with them. its the neighbours who have the problem with israel. |

argument never ends.....we need peace. |
it's true, the cycle of rhetoric on both sides is almost as bad as the cycle of violence.. there seems to be more finger pointing than dialogue

That's my point
I tend to relate this to the Ireland struggle because it is similar in some regards. Back to the 1600's, protestants and catholics were side by side, a king comes in and gives one less freedom and power, the anger starts. Well Britain occupied Ireland for a long time and the IRA and Sinn Fein wanted them out and resorted to violence vs. each other. The history is long documented and the amount of people that died was very high and finally in the mid 1990's, Gerry Adams (head of the Sinn Fein, which is the political wing of the IRA) decided to broker a peace deal which finally was signed in 1999. Now the area is still a hotspot in the world but the violence has stopped for now (I don't think it will completely last but at least they stopped finger pointing and decided to broker a peace deal). I've read numerous books on this and I understand the hatred and soon I'll read some books on the isreal vs. palestine problem which goes back many many years. I mean does'nt the opinions of the thread starter and some others show the stupidity and lost causeness of this. I mean you post pictures and laugh at the death of a man who came out of a mosque in wheelchair. He was dealt with accordingly but my point is....we tend to blame the palestinians as terrorists and say Isreal is right but the cycle continues...does it solve anything. As my mother always stated in the past, it takes two to fight and she always told me that communication is a two way street and she also told me that it takes a real man to apologize for what he has done. All 3 sayings work well here, Isreal and Palestine need to shut the heck up and decide to save more lives by finding a peace deal (it's not going to be easy) but do you want your kids living in fear of someone blowing themselves up or even worse, having to bury your own children before you die. It's a horrible and stupid situation and killing the top militants won't work because 2 guys already took his place (within a day). So if I was Isreal, I'd make a call to Gerry Adams and ask him for advice because they somehow achieved peace and that was probably not foreseen. Some of you will continue your narrow minded attacks on others and claim one side is right but in violence and war, no one wins. |

Wow, cool.. somebody told me that once too.. and I make it a point of trying doing that now. It takes a lot of humility to do that though.. and I give anyone crazy respect for being able to do that. |

In my eyes, he lost his status and rights as a human being the day he started deliberately killing women and children. That's why i have no respect for him, and that's i laughed at his death.
I don't think it'll put an end to the conflict, but it's irrational to expect Israelis to sit there and do nothing as their buses, stores and nightclubs are being bombed.
It wasn't fair for Palestine to lose their land, but had they dealt with their occupation the way India dealt with theirs, things would have turned out differently. Killing civillians isn't the answer. |

Killing them won't bring peace, it won't solve anything. Why won't people realize that. |
Well, if they want to die as suicide bombers and think they go to Paradise to screw some virgins, well, as Canadian Lieutenant Colonel Pat Stogran said, "We gotta slam the door to Paradise on these guys."
I'm all for making terrorism an unprofitable business, even if it means choppers blowing up houses of terrorists.
You want to be the leader of terrorist group? Well, there's some Apaches on standby, just for you. |
