because you obviously have no clue what you're talking about.

And why not? Kids are being brainwashed from a young age...it's not somebody's imagination it's a fact...
Would you even imagine in a western civilized society using children for fighting?
And then children are caught in the line of fire and Israel is seen as a murderer...did someone ever ask what were children doing there to begin with?

As you said it.
Children don't grow up to have a strong belief against the Israeli forces because 'THEIR SUPERIOR LEADER' has told them to do so, BUT because they have been involved with a previous encounter that has led them to believe so with their own eyes. I know of a kid who tried to take revenge using a kitchen knife because he remembered his dad being killed, his brothers taken away and his sisters & mother raped and shot to death. And I've got plenty of stories revolving around the same matter but to you it doesn't make a difference yeah?
The individual wakes up one day and decides to strap bombs around themselves?
I don't suggest what these people do is right, but I can sure as hell understand where they're coming from.

edit--
oh yeah, and that kid was shot to death a mile away.
I wouldn't have expected anything else to occur though.

See that all makes sense...but nobody actually comes and kills his dad and rapes his mother...these people don't believe in the country that is Israel...and they want it erased from the map...they are not really revenging their own personal problems...

And for what i've previously mentioned about kids...here is a scenario...I'm not trying to play the devil's advocate here just something to think about...

You are driving a tank full crew...in front of you pops out a kid 12 years old holding an RPG...you

a) Shoot the kid and be called a child murderer on tomorrow's CNN report
b) Let the kid fire the RPG blow up the tank and kill all your crew

If you ask me...I wouldn't know what to do...there is also a good movie that was made not long ago about the same issue...Called Rules of Engagement where Samuel Jackson says "Spray the mofos..." or something like that...

Anyway...I don't want to play the devil's advocate like i said but here...look at this report: http://www.idf.il/newsite/english/031604-2.stm

'These people' had THEIR land erased from the map, so they don't have much hope for that anymore do they??
I'm talking about the practical reasons most these civilians and organizations engage in such force. And don't say that doesn't happen because I lost family and close friends in that same way.
And I agree with you... If I was an Israeli soldier I would have also placed the kid to rest.

back to the main issue...

Without a doubt Israel took a major gamble but I do think they made the right choice. it is impossible to negotiate a truce deal with an organization whose sole goal is to have you killed, your jewish country anahilated and replaced with an Islamic one.

sure there'll be plenty more pissed off terorrists wanting to blow themselves up, but with more assissinations like this, they'll have less moral support to do so. On a larger time scale things might shape up better.

Word has it Israel will target Hamas political leader, Abdel Aziz Rantisi... once again!

Well the land issue is very debateable as well...This land we call Canada isn't really ours...neither is US...neither is half of the world...I'm sure we don't want native people blowing themselves up claiming their land back right?!?

Bottom line is, it's a very complicated issue that has a very large number of sides to it.
Because I happen to grew up in Israel I have a very personal view of the issue. I'm not even really jewish, but i'm highgly sympathetic to the land and people who live on there because I lived there and understood the issue first hand.
It is very often seen that Israel having the military is a Bully and the Palestinians are poor people struggling for survivial. As long as people know the truth I'm cool...everyone is entiteled to an opinion. But the truth must be heard and known...and facts should not be overlooked.
I don't support killing, but killing military leaders in retaliation for killing civilians (and doing so to create the most casualties possible by putting shrapnel into the bombs) is a valid thing to do. Only seems reasonable.

I guess I've stated my point on the issue and I don't want this whole thread to become a flame war...after all we have enough anti-semitic going through Toronto right now...very sad.

i dont think there r enuff native ppl to even try to blow themselves up, unless they want to become extinct....

^^ I don't think that's a good example because most of the Anglos in North America are not recent immigrants
starsearcher
Well it's pretty much the same thing...the hebrews in the bible got there much earlier than the Anglos got here that's for sure ;)

*edit*

The region alsways had wars over it...Alexander the great, the Romans, and so many other empires faught over that land for so many years...back then it was a major trade route and other strategic reasons...now it's just a lil different...

the cycle will continue

see most times, people say Isreal or Palestine is wrong. I'm going with what I have believed from the very beginning and that is hate breeds hate. We saw it in Ireland with the IRA vs. the Brit Gov't (the hate still exists I believe, after all the reading I have done) but at least the killings stopped and they achieved peace for now. I still don't get why both sides won't come to an agreement (bunch of idiots I tell you). Isreal does not want to give up the west bank and the Palestinians want the west bank and their own country basically. Only time I'm for killing terrorists is Osama Bin Laden and co. because I feel the man had not done any right thing but you might be able to achieve peace as well, who knows. It is a difficult situation but I mean both sides should say the loss of life is pathetic and stupid because people are having to bury their family members and what has it achieved....cycle continues.

u sick s...

laughing at someones assasination??

good or bad it doesnt matter, killing is not morally right no matter what...

the fact that he was "assasinated" means that the israelis too are terrorists
