ok look, if all humans die, most probably Earth will be in better condition. Forest areas will stop decreasing, air pollution will cease, all that good stuff. However, the species chain will become greatly upset, and you do not know what the results will look like. Arguing that human extinction will be better for species is only true to some extent since, most likely, a certain number of select species will begin dominating the system and many others will become extinct. You'll get rid of human-caused problems, but a whole set of new problems will arise. Humans are just another species -- we just happen to be at the top of the chain! You kill us, someone else will take over the top, you're not really solving anything. And yes I know humans are damaging to Earth and we abuse it, but that's what the planet was made for! It's for us and all other species to use as the ultimate resource. And animals do damage to the environment just like us. Have you seen what a swarm of grasshoppers to do crops, or what termites do to forests? You say we're so greedy and selfish, have you ever seen sea gulls in action? They're worse than us!! If you want Earth to be conserved, you gotta kill everyone and everything that lives. And then, what's going to be the point of this empty planet? Let me know what you think...

Funny I was discussing the same thing yesterday with my friend, and I have to agree to that. What kind of specie kills each other like we do, everybody is just ready to jump at each other's throat to be on top, just because they're jealous or power-hungry. It reached the point where some would sell their own mother for money or fame... And just think of the fact that the only reason why you are eating 3 meals a day is because somebody somewhere is profiting from it, otherwise you could rot alone and mankind couldnt care less, it is ing scary when you think of it..
And I dont even wanna talk about crap like like love or relationships, chicks dig s, and s abuse innocent chicks...everything is upside down.. one day you would die for somebody, two months later they mean nothing to you, ridiculous..
boy that got me started, I could write a book, but heh, what good would it give? |

grab a biology book and read up on penguins smarty, they throw their own kind into cold waters just to see if there are any predators swimming around. If all is safe, they jump in afterwards.

At least its straight to the point, and they have a purpose, wich we dont always do...we do primal stuff like that when we feel like lowering ourselfs to the animal level, but since we have inteligence, why not use it to find more hypocrit methods to reach our ends?
Just picture a soldier who's about to kill an enemy, he doesnt even know the freakin guy, and yet he's ready to put a bullet in his forehead just cause he's been told to, worst is, sometimes he doesnt even know the REAL reason why he's fighting a war.. |

now this is really wrong. Nature was on its own for nearly 6 billion years. I really doubt that humans will last more than 1 billion year |

stan beated me to the punch, but ill still say m piece:
we are the master race of this planet.
the only diffrences between mankind and all the other species are that we are conscious, and our evolution occurs much faster (and getting faster by the minute)
yet, we are no diffrent from them on any other aspect.
once we are out of here (which will probably be our own fault),
a diffrent species will rise to be the master race.
personally, i wouldnt mind if the entire planet gets ed up when i die or after that.
i am enjoying my life, but i sure as hell wouldnt like to restart it all from scratch again when i die, reincarnation here would truely suck.
as far as ive gathered so far, the meaning of life, is life.
and thats defintley not a worthy goal.
we, as all other species, live to keep life going.
life kills.
