Despicable to you perhaps... you have written yourself into the scenario. I can't blame you because to make a judgement like that implies a subjective frame of reference... you have set up a hypothetical scenario free of standards of good and bad, but have had to write yourself into it to sustain the moral judgement you made. These are not objective truths (I'm not sure there even is such a thing as objective truth).
As for the crux of the matter.. attrocities to this planet are in the end attrocities only because of the effects they have on humans. I have no moral qualms about animals being killed, but when I hear about a species becoming extinct I think of it as something wrong, because it is depriving future generations of a natural heritage. Wars are bad precisely because of human suffering.
So:
Responsible use of environment = good because it is good for humans
No war = good because it is good for humans
No pollution = good because it is good for humans
No humans = good, because it is good for.. ? |

As long as you make extreme, ridiculous comments, you will always get stupid responses. You make a commment like all humans must die and you expect anyone to take you seriuosly? Would you seriously exterminate a whole species, even millions upon millions of innocents lives for your crazy views and beliefs? If you could do it with the touch of a button, could you honestly tell me you would do that? If you would, then you are worst than the species you claim to be a virus to this planet. Sure, humans are all great, and yes, many of our actions are destroying this planet, but you cannot judge the individual based on a minority or even a majority. There are people who have made this world an amazing place to live in. Not just in big ways, but the countless small ways everyday. Your deduction to exterminate living people is fuked up at best. You are the pathetic one. If you feel so strongly, stop preaching on a message board and get into politics and try to change the world. Talk is cheap. |

You may see this as an extremity, which i admit it is, but that doesnt make it ridiculous. We have made this world far worse than it was. We have caused death and destruction of the earth by taking advantage of her resources for our own selfish consumption. Can you tell me what is amazing about this world we live in??? The nature of it is to take from others in order to satisfy ourselves.
OUr eradication is needed. We are harmful to life and this planet. |
