Well no. If an asteroid that big killed us all, it would probably mean it killed 99.9% of the other species in the world. All that would be left would be roaches and maybe mice.

and the guys up at the international space station.

I thought about that earlier too. There are also bound to be some people in space shuttles out there somewhere too. But what would they do if the earth got hit by an asteroid? Live up there til they die? That would suck almost as bad as being here and dying.

I guess to some extent you are right. Some humans are worthless, but it's a pessimistic mind set to assume most people are and ignore them. I would rather give people the benefit of the doubt, until they prove me wrong. And in some aspects we are like animals, but we do have an enlightened sense of awareness, that most animals do not.

There's no doubt that I'm a pessimist, at least with regards to this matter. But, it depends on what you think is valuable in another person - which is really just an opinion. My opinions, for better or for worse, leave me disappointed most of the time with the people that I meet. When I went to college, I met thousands of people but only two who were interesting enough to me that I've bothered to maintain contact with them. Those aren't very good odds, particularly considering the reputation of universities as good places to meet interesting people. It's difficult for me to ignore that reality, and my pessimism is a quasi-logical result.

I don't necessarily think that all those other people are worthless, but they don't interest me. I feel nothing for them, which is why I wondered why Cyrus felt so passionately about so many people as to wish the demise of all of them. I can't bring myself to care about most people enough to wish them harm.

they would have to live it up there i would assume. if i were them i'd take the opportunity to see if a human can survive on mars with a suit.

They have found another planet in a different constellation that has an atmosphere.

If it sucks to be human then why don't you top yourself, eh???

Because i do not want to inflict harm and pain on my family and friends... that would be selfish of me.

Im looking at this from a general standpoint
