Death to all humans and Earth (pg. 22)

I'm jumping into this thread a little late, and as such, haven't read the majority of the thread.

However, I strongly agree with Cyrus King's initial post.

Humans are a failed species.

Think of it like this: God, or whatever greater form of being you believe in, performs a test. He places different species on different planets and monitors them to see which can create perpetuous prosperity, peace, and unity for all while simultaneously sustaning the planet the species occupy.

We failed the test. We are too greedy, intolerant and arrogant to sustain ourselves forever. It's rather funny to me, earth's history of war. We supposedly learned our lesson of the grave and dire consequences of war from WWII. But, similar conditions continue to repeat, and human's still posses the same hatred for one another. Just look at the middle east, a despicable display of human relations.

It won't take an asteroid, or some deranged, proactive person to spread a disease around the world (like in 12 monkey's) - we will naturally wear out our Earth and eventually die off. The study of economics is "allocating scarce resources to fulfill our limitless wants and needs." Well, the key word is 'scarce'. However, as always, humans don't go down without a struggle. It will be interesting to watch the emerging study of biotech and molecular technology, as this may prolong our inevitable exhaustion of Earth.

What really scares me is the recent economic upturns in India and China. If millions, if not billions, of people in the East develop a similar standard of living as in North America's, we will drastically increase the strain on mother nature. Imagine if all of India and China's population was living as we do - multiple showers per day, 2,000 calorie meals, driving around in 5L trucks, etc.

In continuation, I would like to add that I don't believe it's any one man's right to depict the entire human race as bacteria and subseqeuntly decide on our aggregate death as a race. Good luck on getting a diplomatic resolve to this as well.

I do, however, strongly believe that our population should be vastly decreased. Thus, we should somehow be limiting lavish/accidental reproduction. I really wish the East would adapt a few condom principles, but then again, whether or not the onus is on developed nations to assist such an implementation is equivocal.

Man, that was the best post of all.. it made me laugh. A lot.

BTW, I don't understand Cyrus, he made a really nice documentary but is IMO really wrong on this subject.

Oh, and how can he say that Agent Smith is god? He believes religion (God)is a reflex of ignorance... yet he says that a movie character is a God.

In the Matrix, humans along with their robots, technology and machines destroyed or at least severely damaged the earth, these robots are trying to destroy humans and Agent Smith is one of this robots. So, if you "want" Agent Smith to "exist", you shouldn't be hoping for the end of the human species, but let things follow their way and see what happens. Even maybe some robots like SMith help you with your plan, just as you saw in the movie! Sucker. ;)

no, this is the allmighty solution: cyrus should start building robots!

Dude, although I agree the human race has its dispicable aspects, that does mean there should be an aggregate eradication. There are many postive aspects to the human race as well.

You never know, 100 years from now, we may see a good cycle of politcal leaders operating in unity throughout the world, learning from the mistakes from ours and past generations.

Never give up hope bro. All we have to live by is hope, faith, and our goals of an improvement in our species and gradually achieving these aspirations.

Eradication of our species is like commiting suicide - it's the easy out. It closes the door instead of opening it.

Go get your AK-47 and get started then :stongue:

Face it, we may suck but there's nothing you can do about it except put up with it or hang yourself. Ranting off on a messageboard certainly won't help.

Umm..No, sorry. I just think if I continue to get into heated debates with morons, I might become one, thats all...

Actually, your like one of those bobble-punching clowns, everytime I hit you, you keep coming up with another stupid post. The longer I continue this, the worse the debate can only get, and I am going to regret ever talking to such a simple-minded creton like yourself. So good bye, and have a nice day Rat boy. If you wish to consider this victory, be my guest. :haha:

right, I'm the one that keeps coming, whatever, anywho, the point is that you never proved me to be a hypocrite, which is how this whole thing started.

hmmm, the whole product of our living depends on greed and consumption without care for anything but ourselves.

You're saying that you'd rather the world start over again, so obviously you believe in the theory of evolution like so many of us.

Im saying the world would be a more habitual place without us

quote:

Part of that theory consists of survival. All species on this earth (humans and animals alike) prioritise their personal well being above everything else. The main goal (from an evolutionary point of view) is to procreate. We want the best food supply, partners, location of living etc. A lot of it is instinctual and it does apply through every living being throughtout this world.

We have more than just priorities. We consume for pleasure, not necessity. Its come to the point where this consumption depletes the necessities of even other humans on earth.

Is it instinctual to wear leather? Is it instinctual to mass produce animals to eat them? Is it instinctual to pollute?

quote:

Putting aside mental disorders the human race does act (whether it be obvious or not) in a similar style to the animals we live around.

So you saying that we are the bacteria of this earth is falsified. We are the highest species. Top of the food chain. If something else was abvoe us I'm sure you'd be calling them instead.

What is highest??? We just happen to be more intelligent! Its this arrogant attitude that has made us dispicable. What FOOD CHAIN are you talking about... weve CREATED our own food chain.. a systemic slaughter house and genetically modified industry. We exploit the food chain by making a food chain of our own!

Weve disrupted the ecosystems of other animals and are going to bring into extinction many species before we destroy ourselves.

IF we do not destroy ourselves, our technology will...the next level of "life" to rule will unsurprisingly be Artificial intelligence.

hes gotta point you know, imagine looking at the history of the earth from a time lapse camera,,,,,,,, were pretty dirt.
