Carrick is not the solution either

Carrick is really good and will do well to fill in the gap left by keane but as far as any others go, theres no high quality player available in the market right now.

Everyone we were interested in want to stay with their clubs or have already made transfers. Lets see when Madrid decide which of their strikers is surplus to requirements, hopefully we will buy one of them.

Carrick is no where near worth that fee mate...also with all those juve players available you missed the boat...

Its true we overpaid for carrick but United were desperate for a holding midfielder and the clubs knew that. Plus the fan groups were putting pressure on fergie for signings so that didnt help either.

Agree about the Juve players but the only one we could have (and should have) realistically landed was zambrottab but Barca moved quickly and efficiently while it seemed we were slacking. Cannavaro already knew were he was going and Emerson and Vieira are getting old so from a long term perspective, Carrick was probably a better buy.

30 million pounds? if that is right I say sell him although I doubt he would want to go to Manchester

64,000 season tickets already sold this year - almost equivalent to the stadium capacity last season that has since been bumped up from 67,000 to 76,000.

Who says United are losing their charm.

We've played 18 minutes, and United leads against Fulham, 4:0. This reminds me of Real Zaragoza vs. Real Betis last season, it's just that the game probably won't end 4:3, but 9:0 or something like that instead..

Stupid Fulham manager, get Runström the chance while you can't do against United now.

cristiano ronaldo + rooney = love comes again

Adriano is a sulky, lazy, c*unt. Plus, he's Brazilian. Those bastards never settle well in England. Juninho was the only exception.

United quite frankly don't need him. Let him stay at Inter for another season. He'll probably want to off after he finds his chances reduced with the arrival of Crespo and that other lazy sack of e, Ibrahimovic.

United have finally broken free of the shackles of playing in a system where the target striker wasn't very mobile. Ruud's gone - thank god for that. He's a legend and all, but the last few years he's been a lazy c*unt. United attack with him gone suddenly has a bit of cut and thrust about them. Saha and Rooney are perfect foils for each other. Quick, powerful, and hungry for goals. With Giggs and Ronaldo on the wings, the entire attacking half of United can now bomb forward instead of playing to Ruuds strengths as a goal poacher which is what they had been doing with that ty 4-5-1 system.

So in closing... Adriano. He's an overhyped, overpriced, depression prone turd. He's at home with Inter - in the crybaby league.

If United do move for a striker (and i don't know if they really need one at this stage or not) - I'd rather see, Torres or Tevez being brought in. Torres more so then Tevez. But either would do just fine...

Umm...which one's exactly ? United were in need of a young, defensive midfielder (holding midfielder). The only one who fit that bill, and who left Juva was Viera - and Emerson.

Now, Emerson's 36 years old, and can't play a full 90 minutes. So that rules him out.

And Viera...well, he's only been the captain for Arsenal, and so would find it very hard to join United.

The others. Thuram, Zambrotta, Cannavaro, Ibrahimovic were all players that United didn't need.

So while I agree that Carrick was overpriced by about 10 million, it wasn't a case of simply going out and buying a bunch of Juve want aways to fill that gap in the midfield.

I woulda taken a shot at Zambrotta though -- he's pure class !
