oh man I can't believe they signed Edwin Van Der Sar?!?!?!:conf: :conf: :conf: I hope they don't make a bid for Figo either. True, he is a great player and would benefit United, but for how long he's 32!!!
Let us see what they do with the money they saved by picking up Van Der Sar, Fergie needs to be ruthless and scoop up a few big talents in the mid field. I like Park from PSV, true that he is a workaholic and can produce... something the midfield could not do this year consistently. We need to weed out the recent transfers that have yet to produce also like Liam Miller and Kleberson, Djemba-Djemba had shown some promise in his limited playing time. And I would really like to see Giuseppe Rossi make a debut early next year, he had a great year in the reserves. Before anyone tells me that the reserves are a far cry from the EPL, I will concede that fact. But still a performer of his quality needs a chance to move up and materialize in the league, he is obviously too good for the reserve squad.

GLORY GLORY MAN UNITED

Scaza... that hurt too, you have desecrated this page with the photo of the trophy in 'pool hands. But that's where you live and at least it is on English soil. I know I am american but it's only because my ancestors couldn't hack it over there. I will never forgive them.

i think van der sar is a very good signing since he can serve as a mentor to tim howard ... theres been no owrd on how much we picked him up for althought i reckon the fee to be around 1.5 - 2 million pounds

well we got van der sar and have decalred an interest in Park Ji Sung with PSV giving us permission to speak to him ... however we need to bring in one world class midfielder or defender but dunno if we can currently afford one ...

HAHA excellent signing, Van Der Sar is great ! Finally he's at a top club again !

I am pleased with the signing of Van Der Sar. I think we saved money by signing him, and since we have let's go after Park and save some further money. Any top quality players we can sign will allow us to make that play for the world class player we need. I think if we can shore up the defence with another man like Rio we are set in the backfield. I also think that rather than lose Phil Neville they should use him in his left back role over the summer and see if he can fit in. He has already shown that he is a utility player and capable of moving all over the field. The midfield is a mess at times and will take more than a signing or two to change that. We will see what comes of all this hype surrounding Chelsea and Liverpool also, as they seem to have a great prospective field of future clients.

United made an official bid for Park from PSV. Should have the results of the bid in a day or two. Also with Eto'o being so unhappy with the spaniards we may be saying farewell to RVN and hello to the Barca youngster. I personally hope that we can sway Michael Owen from Real in a trade of players with RVN again my pick to leave. This also would be an advantage for the English National Team. With United holding three top strikers on the English squad playing and training together for the remaining year prior to the World Cup. I shouldn't be so interested in this as I am from the US but I am... it would benefit the club and country greatly.

i cant see eto'o coming to OT in exchange for van nistelrooy ... ruud had a poor season this year due to injury and therefore his value in the market has fallen greatly whereas with eto'o its the exact opposite and we will have to fork out atleast 15 million pounds to have any chance of having a bid accepted ... owen will never come to OT because that will make hm one of the most hated men in liverpool

If they bid and its accepted he will go there. just like smith, ferdiand and rooney.
