i wonder why he wasn't even added to the US world cup team earlier this year :whip:

Player of the Month

03. Patrice Evra (16,535 votes)

Nemanja Vidic's impressive rise from surprise Christmas Day signing to stalwart of United's defence has earned him the respect of Reds fans worldwide.

ManUtd.com readers have voted him Player of the Month for October, ahead of perennial fans' favourite Wayne Rooney and French defender Patrice Evra who, like Vidic, made his debut in January 2006.

More than one third of the 91,000 votes were cast in Vidic's favour, following a month in which he played every minute of United's five matches in the Barclays Premiership and Champions League. He also scored his first goal for the club, a header at Wigan where the Reds came back from 1-0 down to win 3-1.

"Nemanja is such a brave lad, he's not afraid to stick his head in," said Sir Alex Ferguson recently.

"If you do that, you're going to get a good percentage of goals and hopefully the one at Wigan is his first of many."

Ferguson's quote in the Portsmouth match programme proved prophetic - Vida scored again that very afternoon, as the Reds dispatched Pompey 3-0. That performance could stand the Serbian defender in good stead when the November poll comes around.

Still not convinced Kato?

..and no, Football is not a one-man sport.

hopefully this convinces ferguson to continue with these 2 and leave silvestre and brown on the bench. Vidic is rock solid and evra can make some great runs down the flank.

btw zoran, now that your boy's becoming big at old trafford , are you joining the united fan club? :p

I'll support Nemanja fully out in Manchester United even though it's not my favourite club.

Rooney saved 3 points today against Sheffield United, United on top with 34 points.

They've got 7 wins in a row now, and 8 games without a loss in Premier League, Last loss was against Arsenal.

rooney was magnificent. as for ronaldo, it just wasnt his day. same goes for govou. but moreso for the former. the guy had 2 CLEAR shots on an empty net and he missed. best goal id say would be a toss up between ronney's first and sheffields only (brilliant header). a pretty interesting game i thought

Good thing Rooney is rounding into form right before the clash this upcoming weekend with Chelski. I look for it to be a 6 point advantage after the encounter at Old Trafford.

Now that I have the Fox Soccer Channel, I will be able to watch the game as well from the comforts of home. Woo hoo

Man U 3 - Chelsea 2

I think this game should be enough evidence for those who think Ronaldo should be our national team striker to shut up. He's fantastic in creating goal chances, not so fantastic in passing balls into the net. He sure knows how to place a shot (just look at his recent goals from outside the area), but the killer instinct isn't there. He should play as a winger, period.

man utd took their eye of the ball big time tonight and were punished by the deadly left foot of shunsuke nakamura!!!

We are now thru no matter what happens in the last game and what a feeling that is!!!:D

Come on the hoops!!
