good news... its not the hard drives that ed up my comp.
bad news... i have no clue what did.
so i took an old 17gb slave drive out of an old amd 450 that i'm on right now (2.5gb master hard drive :haha: ) and put it in my comp. i was gonna format it, install windows, and then plug the other 4 hard drives in one by one and try and save anything i could. so i get the drive hooked up, insert windows cd, and after less than a minute of the setup copying files over it just reboots itself. okay. so if what i thought was the cancer (the master hard drive) is not in the comp and its having the same issue then i conclude its not a hard drive meltdown that caused my comp to fart its way to death. now i just dont know what is it. every time the comp reboots itself theres this red line flash that goes across the monitor. also the monitor doesnt load as quickly as it used it. so i'm thinking maybe my video card crapped out on me. but then why does it work for a minute and then stop? maybe my rams gone bad. maybe my motherboard is taking a . maybe my processor is over heating. i just dont know. :(
so i'm just gonna give up. i'm gonna wait until i have some money then build a brand new box. this was old as balls anyway. going on 5 years now. :eyes:
so i'm happy the hard drives arent dead, it just sucks i cant access any of the AMAZING music i have on there. this old amd450s motherboard is so old it wont recognize hard drives larger than 30gbs. :stongue:
okay. enough laughing. i'm gonna go back to crying now. :( |

while ago. I lost my D drive's entire content:
80 GB of singles, dub/rare remixes and old skool.
Never backed that bitch up either, and learned the hard way. :whip:
