We got around it though, I learned Spanish and she learned that in this day and age, men will do housework. Unless he married a FOB latina, that would not have happened.
He doesn't like Latinas anyways so no matter what, she would have had to deal with a whitebread like me hahahahaha, and I don't know if every girl would have willingly learned Spanish (or been able to for that matter). |
That's so beautiful, loca, I'm SO HAPPY TO HEAR THAT!!! :gsmile: :gsmile: :gsmile: :gsmile:
My mom spoiled me all my life and I never really had to do any housework until I lived on my own for a year after uni. Now I'll maintain my own basement flat, so that was never an issue for me either.
I feel exactly like your guy in that I don't know why I have never gotten along so closely with Pakistani girls. I don't know why...maybe it's my upbringing here, even though I spent a lot of my life growing up with my ethnic community. In fact, I was supposed to marry a girl (who was always my best friend growing up) and her family was (and still is) very close friends with my family but when that didn't work out I guess since then I've only dated non-Pakistanis.
I'm waiting for Ummie to hook me up with a date. ;) :p |

Now I'm not saying you should date some stripper just because she makes you happy in your "special place" lol |
lol I miss you so much!!!! Make sure you text me on Saturday night (pm sent).
I hear ya re: relatives passing away, but I also think that there is some wisdom in what they say, depending on specific circumstances, of course. I would never take elderly advice and apply it with broad strokes. Especially when I know they have good intentions. But sometimes, they can be wrong. In your case, the grandma was 2 generations away, but in my case if it's my aunts/uncles/mom telling me no, there must be a reason and it was only at the last second that I saw it. |

lol.
All Latin based languages tend to sound beautiful :D
I'm an equal opportunity dater :toocool:
..also, I guess multicultural would be different than inter-racial dating. It's one thing to date someone who speaks a dif. language, celebrates different holidays, believes different things....but is still your color. It's another thing to date someone with all those qualities and is of a different race. For instance...in your case Irish..he's an Englishman dating an Irish girl. It would be considered multicultural dating (technically), but u're both still white...and pretty much have the same background. |

Neways:-
My story....I have had my fair share of dating up and downs it was more of a roller coaster ride....Well I was spoiled by my mom just like fahad....But I never had to go far away so I always had my roti warm in the pot waiting for me when I get home from skool or work....Even till this very day I cant cook anything,do my laundry,e.t.c.....I know its not something i should be proud of but hey....I have a huge respect for my family and have no intentions of leaving them...Infact I am the only son besides three sisters so I will be taking care of my mom and dad after they get old hence I have agreed to get married to Chic from Back home ...Who isnt a FOB is well educated 22yrs old(M.S.C Physics)and getting married in August(2008)....Well her mom is already asking her to master all the dishes I love to eat......;)
Win Win Situation--------My whole family here and back home everyone is happy with us getting married. |

Fahad, the reason the Pakistani girls you meet just don't click, is because they expect to have their marriages arranged. UmmiE and friends, let's set Fahad on a blind chaperoned date and do it proppa! |
Ahjay Bro......Pakistanis chics in Mrs.Sauga and TO are like just like any other chics....I agree that ya they are more conservative but honestly I know so many who are just as out going as any other.......Infact my own Ex gf was living here on spadina/queen area alone even though she was from a very rich background back home that even if she wanted to she would have to work here but she was more of a self made person and work hard for every single dollar she made....Her parents were more liberal then mine .....I met her mom and she was okay with me and stuff.....Its just that there were some other issues between me and her thats why we decided to go our seperate ways.........
Hoestly After my last relationship I had lost what so everrrr dreams of being in one I think is useless crap......Im getting married because of my parents happiness they have done enough for me and I think I owe this part of my life to them.....If that wasnt the case I would rather live my life alone.....Because you dont have to deal with any bull of any sort...Personally I dont think you really really need to have someone gf/bf in you're life to be happy...Good friends FTW!!!!!!!! |
