If you're talking about friends that are hot, what difference does it make whether or not they're gay? Why include the word "gay" in "said gay person"?

because this thread is about gay guys lol. i'm not talking about my straight friends? :conf:

I think it's what I said before - you're just worried about how it will look to others if you play along that way with guys who *might* actually want to get in your pants. Well, the point of this thread was that a lot of "said gay guys" might be a little more interested than you think.

um...are you actually trying to tell me how i feel, or are you speaking using "you" as a general term? cos i sure as hell am not "worried about how it looks to others if you play along that way with guys who *might* actually want to get in your pants".

If you only do it with the gays because other guys are creepy and you think you'd be labelled a whore if you did the same thing with them - then think again because you're going to get labelled as a whore anyway (a whore and a fag hag, that is).

if this is what you were trying to say from the beginning, then i actually agree, that is pretty ing sad, and i don't know anyone who does this.

I support you, Sean, buddy.

That is all I want to say.

I think this is worth repeating.

I never implied that all gay guys are frauds trying to pick up women (I honestly don't think anybody said or implied that - it was a red herring in this debate).

Right, no one said that gay guys are frauds trying to pick up girls...*looks back to original post*

I think there is a gay guy conspiracy out there (not all gay guys, but a lot). I think they use their sexual preference to lure girls into thinking they are completely innocent - then without warning - BAM - they are in the middle of a gay guy sandwich.

The problem is with the double standard: gay guys are hot and really cool people and not sleazy so it's okay to be seen screwing around with them, but straight guys are all trying to get into your pants and it's disgusting when they try to grind or slap some ass.

Personally, I think that's pathetic, and that's why I have no respect for fruit flies. If you like to flirt physically this way with straight AND gay guys, you've got my blessing. If you only do it with the gays because other guys are creepy and you think you'd be labelled a whore if you did the same thing with them - then think again because you're going to get labelled as a whore anyway (a whore and a fag hag, that is).

Wow, just wow! So let me get this straight...this is actually a debate about how women are whores to begin with? Wow, who knew it, girls get branded whores for acting out somewhat sexually with males! what a shocker coming from someone in the male community...No offence, but you must have a boring sex life to have such a conservative view on sexuality. I let my girl have fun with whoever she wants aslong as she knows where to draw a certain line and know that its me she always comes back home with...I enjoy partying free and happy and I wont ever cheat on my girlfriend with another girl, unless shes there with me.:D

Obviously I wasn't trying to tell you how you feel, I don't even know you :conf:

I'll point you to one of the comments that Sean made that I quoted earlier (this isn't a knock against Sean, he just summed it up more succinctly than anyone else):

Many girls like to go out with their gay friends to gay clubs for many reasons...

...

to be sexually free - without being branded a whore

I sincerely believe (and in some cases, know for certain) that this is the logic of many who get dubbed as "fag hags" or "fruit flies". I'm sure I don't know what makes *you* tick at a club, but the line of reasoning quoted above is one that I detest. And I do know of at least a few women who think this way.

So yes, the "you" here is the collective "you" and not you specifically. It's a message to all the girls out there who think they can get away with behaviour they would not normally be able to get away with simply because the guy they're doing it with is gay.

Sean.. I think you took more time then you needed too to post anything in this thread about your sexual orientation, your personal life, views, etc.. I am glad you spoke up for yourself and defended yourself! :)

This is how I see it...

Any guy regardless of sexual orientation.. if I don't want you touching me.. you WON'T be touching me in any way, shape or form!
If a girl is uncomfortable.. she needs to speak the hell up then.. cuz if she can't speak up to someone touching her in a club...what is she gonna do if the situation is worse than just an ass smack or whatever it may be in a club??

i have seen the same thing too.

if you are gay don't be doing things to girls that straight guys would get a kick in the nuts for.

and girls, don't excuse this kind of stuff just because "they are gay, it's ok".

i know so many girls that often are quite touchy feely w/ each other too. and they're down w/ that. not threatened, feel comfortable, its all just fun.

in that same manner can certain girls be comfortable and cool when a gay guy is doing it, but not a straight guy. u dont feel the potential pressure or possibly awkward situation where ur unsure of their real intentions.

so really, i dont think its that strange that girls wouldnt mind it if gay guys got friendly w/ them on the dance floor (or in other partying situations)...

some girls are cool w/ it from other girls only
some girls are cool w/ it from other girls and gay guys only
some girls are cool w/ it from gay guys only
some girls are cool w/ it from straight or gay guys or girls.

i dont see anything wrong w/ accepting it bc they're gay (when u wouldnt normally accept it otherwise).. but thats really the same as accepting if from other girls in fun and playfulness simply bc they are girls and you are not threatened sexually by them (as you aren't either w/ gay men).

This is somewhut off-topic, but readign some posts made this come to mind and I wanted to comment.

Personally, I think its RIDDICULOUS that girls are branded as sluts and whores if they go out and flirt (let alone regularly).

How the heck do we know they're bringing home the guys that they're actively flirting with? Maybe their just having innocent fun (and yes, it IS all very much at an innocent stage unless sex is getting involved somewhere).

And even if say a girl brings home a guy she sees at the club. Why the hell is she being called a slut. I dont see the general population trash-talking and negative-speaking about guys doing this exact same thing!!!

Why is there such a stigma that is placed on women re: this? :conf: (and I'll add that its not even always or even USUALLY that I hear guys talking like this about girls, its usually other girls in referring to other girls. If some girl is dressed up sexy and showing some cleavage, OPE! she mu5t be a slut... as if... dressing sexy does not mean you're out to bag men by the dozens and should not brand u as a slut... i have problems with the fact that that is how it is usually quite often viewed)

IMO, if you're a girl and you wanna have sex a lot, but not be stuck in a relationship, ie. keep it simple, casual... where's the problem?? So long as ur safe, whut's everyone's problem! (generally speaking).
So what if you wanna have sex every weekend. Nothing wrong w/ that. Be safe, I have no problems. If you're not gonna be safe, then its a matter irresponsibility that I have an issue with. The # of men a woman has slept with truly has NO BEARING on my opinion of that girl. NONE AT ALL. And I dont feel it should. But guys and girls alike seem to call too many girls sluts bc they enjoy a healthy sexual appetite. Too bad that such a negative spin is generally put on such behaviour. I dont see guys being talked of negatively and demoralized bc they a new chick every wkend that they bring back from the bar.
