Ah... as I interpreted the thread, it was referring people who are not close friends. Maybe I'm wrong, but what would be the point of the discussion otherwise?

If you're talking about friends that are hot, what difference does it make whether or not they're gay? Why include the word "gay" in "said gay person"?
I think it's what I said before - you're just worried about how it will look to others if you play along that way with guys who *might* actually want to get in your pants. Well, the point of this thread was that a lot of "said gay guys" might be a little more interested than you think. |

I also think it goes the other way around. Girls aren't afraid to be more affectionate with their gay guy friends because there's no risk of the affection being mistaken for a sexual advance or an attempt at picking up.
But if you're a gay girl who "looks" straight, you don't win either way! Women don't notice you and when you do find one, it's amazing the number of men who see it as an invitation! |

With me being a predominantly gay dude - I have had the joy of many females as friends (a good number of them extremely good looking as well).
Many times in a club setting we have had fun - danced dirty - slapped each others assess......
It was what it was - fun - non-threatening and sexy.
Quite often it is the female initiating and encouraging the behaviour - and it is up to me to decide if I let it continue or not.
Some of my girlfriends saw it as a game (get the other straight guys all hot and bothered) some saw it as a way to release sexual tension and be expressive without worry of subversive intent, hell sometimes I am sure that the girls derived their own pleasure fantasies out of it unbeknownst to me.
Many girls like to go out with their gay friends to gay clubs for many reasons...
the freedom to dance without being oggled and groped constantly
to be sexually free - without being branded a whore
the attention they get from the guys who are gay (ego-boosts and all)
But the "preying on/acting gay" mentality is kinda creepy and as a few have mentioned this is not typically a normal thing among the gay community from what I have seen personally.
Bisexual guys - now there is a different story.
In my experiences:
Most bi-guys like the girl aspect more - and just are open minded to the closeness of a man to man friendship and the fooling around that it can entail because guys are always horny.
This is where some intention can be blurred and misread or mis-interpreted - when you are now including a 100% pool of sexuality to choose from (guys and girls as potential mates) - reasons for sexual union become less clearly defined and more emotionally/sporadically declared as reasons for craving one over the other. Having the best of both worlds can be a curse or a blessing. Each individual makes their choices accordingly.
There are many reasons why people are attracted to each other and sometimes we are not even sure why some people evoke a sexual stimulation in us while towards others we feel nothing.
So until I can bust it out on the dancefloor with my hot boyfriend. I will continue to enjoy the straight women in my life (and a couple of gay ones as well!!) wanting to dance it up with me and partake in some harmless flirting and display of our sexual freedoms. And for the record a few of my close guy friends have also partaked in this flirting as well - and much respect to you - I love you for it!
I hope that I personally have never offended anyone in this manner - for it was never intentional nor with hidden agenda. I usually take my cues from others - so as to not fall into a sticky situation - and I would hope that someone who was offended would of made it clear to me so as I may correct any such behaviour for future.

I have many types of friends for many reasons - some are more clearly defined than others but in the end - they are friends because they make me happy. Happy to be myself and happy to bring joy to their lives through our friendship and the moments we share.

Uhm, so yeah...after posting this on Friday, I went to footworks... met a friend that I have conversed with a couple of times... we talked...kissed on the check...he is one of the most femine men I have ever met...more than me... he intorduced me to his boyfriend, who then in turn kissed me on the lips after kissing my checks...threw me off guard a bit...so then my friend says hey, that's not fair and kisses me on the lips as well... nothing too excting, lol...just a peck on the lips...
just thought it was ironic that I had posted it then that very night I was kissed...lol...I think I have psychic powers...
And just a note: nesean.. your comments on this thread are awesome...you described everything I wish I could have put into words...nicely done!!! |
