I never once brought you into this thread, never once used you as an example, never once made acomment negatively about YOUR sexuality.....so where I have disrespected you? I meant in general - relax - I meant if you felt pissed off at a gay guy for doing this to your girlfriend in disrespect - and felt violent because of it - punch him in the mouth - it's disrepect right?? Some peoples actions are an embarrasment to the rest of the gay/bi community, which is being selfish, and not caring about everyone else. Most gay/bi people do not act like that. The people your talking about did deserve to get knocked out, for being stupid. |

What image, of tolorance? Being from a minority group yourself that used to suffer alot of discrimination, it's amazing how much discrimination you have yourself. If you lived in Maryland in the 1950s ( this state is probably one of the least racist now ) where my mom remembers drinking from different water fountains than black people, you probably would not have the views you have now. Being from a discriminated group, I am against discrimination period. |

I can agree with that as well. And most don't act like that as I have stated - but HITTING someone because of it? I dont agree with that - but I am non-violent in that manner - that would not be my approach to deal with said situation.

Unfortunately most gay people are ashamed of themselves. Myself, and most gay people I know don't parade around, and take pride in their accomplishments. In fact most gay people I know, you would not be able to tell if they are gay or not, and refuse to fit stereotypes from anyone ( gay or not ). I know alot of people who are comfortable with who they are, but having "pride" in being gay, equals the same as "pride in being white", and as you know most people that take "pride in being white" usually don't have much or even a high school education to be proud of. There is alot more to people than just there sexuality. You also seem to think that it's a choice.
Alot of people also feel "Pride in being Straight". I think alot of men that rape women, especially gang rape, do it to prove how "straight" they are. Since when has anyone raped a woman because of love. Power & insecurity is usually the reason.

quite frankly the stupidest things i've ever read......the real problem is, is that:
"pride in being white" usually = being a white supremist
"pride in being anything else" = freedom of speech
and on a side note.....what does the great state of Maryland, Brian Mulroney, George bush and racial profiling have to do with gay/bi guys touching my gf's ass? |
