oh don't go judging an entire country by the comments of some idiots in this forum. canada is very open and accepting. but, like any where else,it also has it's share of dicks too.

Personally, I'm gay, and really couldn't give a if any one likes it or not, but where I live no one has really made an issue out of it. If anyone does make a deal of it, and say it to my face, I would delight in the chance to knock the out of them. And alot of gay people in DC don't fight like girls, ( some people watch too much Springer ) and don't put up with . I think my "family values" are superior to alot of straight people since I've been in the same relationship for 4 years and have never cheated ( so goes subject.alot of stereotypes, oh yeah, I've never done Crystal Meth either )

The U.S. definatly has it's share of ignorant people also. I moved here because I have family here, and other than here in the Baltimore/DC region, NYC, Miami, and in parts of California,, I haven't been all that impressed with social progress in the U.S. Still, here in Baltimore we have our share of loosers, just like everywhere else.

well no place is perfect. but allot of americans that i talk to at pride say they feel so relieved to be able to walk down the street and hold their boyfriends hand and not fear for their lives. this is possible in some states as well but for the most part more acceptable in cananda. i was talking to a guy from michigan who said he and his b/f had to walk out of a gay bar seperately and meet at their car for fear someone would see them together and just asume they were gay and they might be in danger. scary

im sorry but ive lived in the US and the average American joe is typically unable to be accepting of anything different. There are exeptions to the rule, but go esp to the southern states to see what intolerance is all about.

Rednecks are a funny group of people.

Its like they have all been dropped on the head when they where a baby, then where thrown out of a window and hit in the face by an ugly stick.
