The Lynch Appreciation Thread:: (for the ones that are aware...)

One of the most brilliant and at the same time ed-up minds working in cinema at the moment is DAVID LYNCH.. With nightmarish films like Eraserhead, Blue Velvet, Mulholland Drive, Lost Highway and the genius TV show "Twin Peaks"...his movies, music and images haunt you for a long time to come.
Having said that, he also knows how to reach the heart and soul in The Elephant Man, Wild At Heart and The Straight Story. And even he can make mistakes, like Dune.
This thread although having very little to do with E.D.M. (except for the fact that if you took Lynch's long time composer Angelo Badalmenti and convinced him to produce an edm track it would be the darkest you've ever heard in your life...) calls for David Lynch fans to post the most ed up images they can find from his movies/series/short films/etc.
It's gonna be fun :disbelief so I hope taha doesn't delete it :)
I'll start with a pic of the master himself:

+1, this composer is really something else, his compositions are haunting as hell.
i dunno if anyone on this board is obssessed with cinema like me and mitsutranza... but we felt like doing a thread like this ...
back to lynch, i've seen almost all his movies except eraserhead and I can say that this is a genius of cinema. he is the director that u can say the most that his movies are ''something else''...
He is the master of spookiness and mental disturbance .
I've just started the twin peaks serie yesturday and omg cant keep this out of my head, its really really really amazing, the dialogues, the images, THE MUSIC, lara flynn boyle :tongue3, the purple color of the sky he uses in this film is just amazing...
About all his other movies i could do a 5000 pages review of each one, they are soo smart, complicated, fantastic, psychological, thoughtfull, sexy, haunting, scary, ''enivrant''...
And his ending are always the most unexpected ending ever, he is a genius of modern cinema.
ill try to review every single film of his, if anyone is intested if not im not losing my time for sure...
pic from eraserhead...

Please... don't get me started on Lynch. He's up there with Aronofsky and Fincher, sitting on the exact same throne. These guys are like the mafia of post-modern filmmaking...
Nick knows his .... hehehehe... do you like Kubrick? |

Mulholland Drive is amazing...Lynch gave ten clues for the DVD release, which if you follow properly, will de-mystify the movie for the you...
In 1986 Lynch released BLUE VELVET which stands tied with his first feature as the quintessential Lynch movie for me:
Crazy Dennis Hopper:
and who can forget;
Sweet dreams people. :disbelief

Back to Lynch :D
This is one quote taken from Wild at Heart when it was at its most Lynchinian moment:
"You know, I really do like a woman with like yours that talks tough and acts like she can like a bunny... Can you like that?... You like it like a bunny?...Huh?... Cause baby, I'll you like a real good like a big ol' jack- rabbit bunny... Jump all around in that hole... Bobby Peru doesn't come up for air."
