PG in NBA ranking @ cbssportsline
1. Arenas
2. Wade
3. Nash

I guess based on stats and this ranking I will jump in on the Arena MVP train.

But they gotta make it far in the playoffs also. That will show he is a leader and thats where the MVP comes.

Well, seeing how the Spurs are playing, I think that Dallas a good chance at winning it all this year. Its still january. Although, I still want Nash to win a ring. I never really liked Dallas, maybe because they are our biggest rivarly right now lol. Anyways, if Spurs can pull it together, we have a good shot at it too.

Same with Karl and Stockton with the winning the ring ish..
When you win a championship is having minimum one NBA great and then role players that a get the job done.

EX..MJ+role players
SHAQ+role players, oh yeah that had kobe also err
SHAQ+role players, oh yeah they had wade also err

see the trend.. but

karl, stockton+role players (did not cutit)
nash+ role players(did not cutit) yet....
dallas same with the suns..Once they win the chapionship then I will agree their role players cutit. They got Dirk NBA great but the role players will have to do their job as well

Scottie Pippen was voted to be one of the top 50 players of all-time. Little bit more than a role player.

I think it's always about 2 superduperstars.

Magic and Kareem. Magic and Worthy.
Bird and McHale
Jordan and Pippen
Snack and Kobe
Snack and Wade
Hakeem and Drexler
Duncan and Robinson

There is a few exceptions lately though. Duncan and supporting cast. Detroit no true superstars. Different formulas for different eras of basketball...evolving as the game evolves. The new rules made it less emphasis on individual play.

I'd like to see Lebron get a running mate.

Lebron and....
Kobe and....
Garnett and.......

Denver is trying to do that with Melo and me myself and Iverson. However, Melo is more of a scoring stud than a true all around superstar. Sort of in the mold like Dominique Wilkins. A star but not a championship winning type of guy.

Well, I got my own thoughts on any MVP, so for me, I always base it on if a guy leads their team to a good record and/or playoffs... but how well you do in the playoffs, I don't think that should be a factor in deciding MVP... but thats just my opinion...

also, Caron Butler is having a VERY impressive years, as well as Jamison, so Arenas has a great supporting cast, and the East is pure , and the HEAT seem to appear to be DONE, so who knows, Wiz in the finals...lol....
Kapedan
If Arenas plays the way he is playing, then he should get it. Its still early, but this year, I dont think Nash should win it just because he isnt that great of a player. He is great, but not elite. Anyhow, maybe if Arenas takes Washington into the finals, ill give him all the credit.

He hasn't faired too well so far in the NBA in comparison to Wade and Lebron in terms of victories added. Christian Laettner led his team the championship in college Vern. I like Melo, just needs to expand his repertoire beyond scoring.

MVP is voted on regular season only. The ballots are sent even before the regular season ends. Plus, the playoffs have their own MVP's. Finals MVP, conference MVP. That shouldn't be a factor.

MVP candidates: Dirk, Arenas, Nash

I think MVP should be about most valuable player to helping his team win. So his team better be damn good. Sort of like what would his team be without him on it. Example: take Peyton Manning off the Colts and they'd be .
King Ecnal
ummm... Laetnner had Grant Hill... and one of the best NBA players ever: BOBBY HURLEY!!!!!!!!!!!

Melo didn't have on Cuse...
