Roy earned 127 of 128 possible first-place votes, matching the 99.2 percent vote total that Chris Paul received last season. That number stands as the highest percentage of votes since David Robinson won the award unanimously in 1989-90.

Andrea Bargnani?....................

NEXT

Roy won the award because he's a starter for a team that didn't make the playoffs. Bargnani put up his numbers from the bench for a team that was 3rd in the East.

Of course Roy would get better stats, plus more play time.

phuck, i was hoping lakers will make a miracle

lol I didn't realize just how bad the Lakers had been since Shaq left. They better not get Kevin Garnett, though. If they do, I hope Kobe complains about his touches and runs him out or quits.

Using this logic then any player on a bad team is gonna be worse than a players from winning teams. So Paul Pierce sucks now. Using this, Chris Paul shouldn't have won last year right? Let's say Nazr Mohammed is better since he's on the Pistons because he helped a playoff team vs. Pau Gasol who was on the worst team? Doesn't equate sorry. It's one thing if we were using that logic as a tiebreaker between two players that are close. To watch Roy all this year and see the dramatic impact he had (a TON of game winning shots or passes) he was clearly the rookie of the year. That's why every single sportswriter agreed with me except the homer in Toronto. Who is delusional and reported that he received hundreds of hate email from Portland fans about his vote. I'm not condoning that but there's no way Roy wasn't the best rookie this year. No way.

I'm not saying Roy sucks.

All I am saying is that Roy had better chances with starters mins in a team that did suck, therefore Roy had bigger impact than Bargnani did in Toronto.

Don't get me wrong. I fully think that Roy deserves to win the award, but I think that Bargnani should have gotten more of a consideration since I think he made definite impact on Raptors season. Without Bargnani, I think the Raps would be 6-7th in the East.

i do agree that rookies in bad teams get more opportunities and chances to put up some good stats, compared to solid rookies in good teams. because roy was on a team that didn't have a bonafide scorer(other than randolph), roy took advantage of that situation. braganini started off slow, but really showed his worth after the all star break. last year's draft should be considered a bust, since a lot of the 1st round picks did not do much for their respective teams.

How I knew the Warriors were going to win game 6:

Seeing baron davis limp, and then hitting his next shot

That is pretty much the closest thing we're going to get to the Willia Reed moment in our generation.

what a year for my favourite teams from us-sport...

Cowboys -> loose in the play-offs because Romo can't hold a field goal

Canadians -> didn't make the play-offs because of a loose in the last game of the season

Mavericks -> after playing one of the best seasons in nba history they loose to the #8 seed

and for this lame game I stand up at 4.30 in the morning

this will be my last NBA game until november... maybe
