I just don't feel Boston fans have any right to complain with the success of the Pats and the Red Sux. Plus, the Celtics won 3 championships in the 80's. Think of the Milwaukee Bucks or something. Furthermore, the Blazers got screwed last year since they had the worst record and finished with the 4th pick, the worst they could do. Nevertheless, they drafted wisely in getting Roy and Aldridge. Lastly, the Celtics clearly tried to tank games to secure a better draft spot. On the other hand, the Blazers beat Seattle on the 2nd to last game of the season to worsen their draft spot. In my belief, that provided the necessary good karma to get the #1 pick to solidify a contender for years to come. Especially with the richest owner in pro sports Paul Allen leading the charge. And the new GM Kevin Pritchard (same guy who drafted Roy and Alridge) leading the way.
One of my best sporting moments in my lifetime. No one can ruin that one for me. I have to sit here on this board for 2 years being silent because my team sucked. I deserve a little time to be a rooster strutting my feathers. |

unlike the rest of the country, New England isn't satisfied with one or two WINNERS.... we need more god damn it!!!!
the Bruins, I could care less what they do for the rest of my life....
but I held out hope I could return as a Celtics fan, but the NBA ed me and a lot of other fans over yesterday...
anyway, in a big sports city like this... Portland is pure....S-H-I-T to us... and giving us #5 was a huge kick in the balls, but making Portland #1 was like 1000000 times worse than a kick in the balls... I would have been completely fine with a REAL team getting the first pick, but the motherin blazers???????????? wtf is that ..... first, ugliest uniforms in the league for like 20 years now, second, Portland, ROSE Garden, yeah nice name for a ty team, third, juice is a fan, I rest my case! |

I haven't seen anyone outside of Boston on TV or on the internet that isn't delighted that the Celtics didn't get a top pick. Everyone knows Bawstin fans are the most annoying on the planet. That clearly includes you Lance! Your moniker should be King Negative or King Irritate. Get out of your own personal Boston myopia. We really don't care to get your constant moaning, whining, bitching, complaining, crying on this board. I'm sure to get the typical "I can do what I want to do" retort again.
Rose Garden sounds much better than Nabisco SFU.Com Levis Starbucks Stadium. Portland is the city of Roses by the way. Since it's very beautiful there.
How's your ass feel from the raping of Brandon Roy for Sebastian Telfair feel? How's your eyes from all the crying about tanking games and not having that strategy work. How poetic was it that B Roy was there to accept the #1 pick and sticking the dagger in even more?
Jealousy doesn't evoke sympathy. Sorry.
Blazers are back baby. Rip City! |

the other thing I do want to note is that even if Oden or Durant came to Boston, you think the Celtics will go back to their glory days with Doc Rivers coaching and Danny Ainge as the GM?
The problem with the Celts isn't missing out on the first two picks or even missing out on Duncan. It's really the front office. Getting rid of Danny Ainge would do more for the C's than Oden and Durant would do for the once proud franchise |

I just want to add that if this causes Ainge and Rivers to get fired next season, it'll be the best thing to happen to the C's in a good while |
