seriously. someone who says that kobe is better than jordan right now should be given a time machine and go back 10 years ago. if jordan didn't make that transition from being an all offensive guy to a all game guy in the late 80s, then we would be talking different stories here.

but i think the turning point of his career was when his bulls were losing heavily to the detroit bad boys pistons in the playoffs a lot, and he felt he needed to step his game a bit to go above the pistons. well, he did it. how did he do it ? he improved his defensive skills, which is something kobe hasn't tried to improve the past 4 to 5 years. he can shows flashes of good defense here and there, but jordan was non stop the whole game. that is what made jordan great. anyone can score points every night, but jordan was special, because he put up the points, and did his duties on the defensive end.

not only that, but he enstilled confidence to his team that they were a good team, which is something kobe has never done. in the past, he let shaq be the motivator of the team.

the closest to jordan's type of game is bill russell, larry bird, magic, and oscar robertson. they knew when to take over the game when their teams needed them the most, and were the prime motivators on their respective teams when needed most.

nothing against kobe, but he hasn't shown any type of leadership skills the great ones in the past had.

All-Star-Game is a joke.

Shaq plays only in 4 or 5 games and is voted as a starter while the top two MVP candidates Dirk and Steve aren't selected???

And Steve Nash can't participate in the All-Star-Game at all because his Phoenix-Coach is the coach of the Western All-Stars???
bananas
It has always been a joke

d'antoni will definitely choose him as a reserve. i'm just shocked at how far behind he was in the voting behind kobe and t-mac.
Kapedan
t-mac is overated, they defently should of put has in that starting 5. I mean a two time mvp back to back? wtf. and yao as a center? come on, the guy has barely played and they still vote for him. freaking chinese people. :whip:
