i have always been a d. howard fan when i saw him play as a rookie. this guy is special, and will get better as the years progress, and he improves his jump shot. when he starts becoming a threat on the perimeter and the post, there's no way of stopping him. this is why yao is such a force right now. he has pretty good perimeter play, but has really worked hard on his post play, and learning how to back his man down. now, i don't think there is any center that can 100% defend yao.
i like the future of nba big men right now with howard, amare, yao, okafor, al jefferson(yes i will mention him, because although boston looks like crap right now, jefferson has been a beast lately), and josh smith (another case of crappy team, beastly performances). i would mention ben wallace and chris kaman, but their times are up. they suck. end of story. |

| With the new Dirk v Wade beef going on...who would you rather start your team with...Dirk or Wade? |

| that's a tough question, but i think i would go for wade, because he does it on both sides of the court, and nowitzki sometimes has shady defensive skills. |

Dirk? Please
Wade by a landslide |

Wade is more flashy.
Actually, both play different positions. Why the comparison?
Both are terrific players in their position |

I hope Wade still enjoys his Championship from last year because it will be the only one for a long time.
The Heat are too old and won't be a top team the upcoming seasons.
Dirk will still reach a lot of NBA Finals and maybe he wins some if the ref's aren't against his team like last year.
But the REAL NBA Finals are the Western Conference Championships. Last year Spurs vs Mavs was the real deal. |

so I asked my dad, who is an diehard NBA fan since the early 70s about the San Antonio Spurs:
me: "Do you think the Spurs are exciting to watch?"
my dad: "Yes, but only when they play the Phoenix Suns" |

again, I don't like comparing two totally different players...
I'd say compare Kobe and Wade... or Tmac and Lebron.... but not Wade and Dirk...
But I'll put that aside, and answer the question. I'd take Dirk to start my team, because he's one of a kind, no other big man can do what he does... you can find another Wade... i.e. Arenas |

| How about Arenas saying he's gonna drop 50 on the Blazers today and got a whopping 9 points. Haha dumb ass! Jarret Jack said it was like someone telling you that they were going to punch you in the face. I thought it was kind of funny to predict that even though I know Nate McMillan had nothing to do with the USA selection process. Amusing guy, I don't mind the boasting but I snicker at the 9 points. |

Give Bargnani a few yrs...
If he doesn't win Rookie of the Yr (barring major injury problem), something's wrong.
As for Arenas, his ego has clearly got to him. Who'd want to coach him, no matter how good he is with his attitude? |
