JZ & NF next weekend should be bangin'. :p

I sort of agreed with you until seeing Halliwell @ the Church and Mojo/Dubfire @ Vinyl... I realize the Halliwell was a rare small crowd for the Church, but I actually had a really good time at one of those clubs for the first time in a while.

I definitely went to some crowded ass clubs in Miami, more so than Vinyl, some filled with s and some with good vibes. I can deal with big crowds, but I prefer not to deal with the asshats.

LOL, that hip hop DJ on the patio roof didn't even look like he was djing. Why would you mix EDM with Hip Hop? that is like putting trance music with country..Or having Ron Jeremy Jenna Jameson. Just completely ruins the mood.

LOL, yes, he was really really bad.

The Markus Schulz event IS a SOLID BOOKING FOR SOCO! The first time he has ever come to Denver, FINALLY!!!. If anything Jody will play that event and probably open for Markus. That totally ROCKS KASBA..two of my fav top DJs in one night. Unusual for Denver.

Just FYI, I rarely go to many nights at the Church or Vinyl unless it is a special extended set or event, which..hardly ever HAPPENS! If I pay that much to go see a DJ I wanna see 4-8hour set like on the coasts or whatever. Lately, I have just been traveling around the states to other events which is a nice change of pace(LA, VEGAS, DALLAS, MIAMI). Plus, most Peeps I meet on this board from other cities are so much nicer.

ANYWAYZ, my b-day is going to be on Josh Wink/SUSHI night! Are you down to party? It would be nice to meet some more locals here in Denver...lol.:eyes: :disbelief

Yeah, Markus and Jody on the same night would really be pretty unheard of for Denver... part is that they would probably both only play for maybe 3 hours combined if we are really lucky.

The liquor laws in Colorado SUCK!!! That is a huge part of the problem.

I'll be downtown flyering for our party on Saturday, but I'm not a big Josh Wink fan (or Vinyl fan, obviously). We could meet up @ Markus? What are you doing on the 12th?

Yes, asshats suck. :) I will say that the Church has far more energy usually when it comes to a DJ than Vinyl - partially due to its a Thursday night and not too many yeeehooos come out then. But I still prefer Vinyl as a venue overall.

A friend of mine overseas told me to go to Schultz or else suffer his wrath so I might head to that as well.

Spinning with Dirk Technic (PMT) at the Loft... you should stop by if you want to, he should be good. We're doing afterhours with him too.

BTW, did you actually make it to all of those events in Miami?

+1

Although with the roomie in San Fran, visiting on the cheap for a weekend is mighty tempting......

element-y
come on denver pick up on artists touring now. Look at Armin, PVD, Ferry, Christopher Lawrence, Above & Beyond, Oakie, J00F, Kyau and Albert - all of these will be in cali during the summer.

So far the summer events here are real weak as far as trance goes - step it up. Dont respond with trance attacks guys, just saying, usually there are more but it seems dead so far.

Only thing looking forward to so far is Infected Mushroom and Global Dance and Joop

Trance (all of which are good artists):

5/24, Thurs, Markus Schultz @ The Church, Denver, CO
6/2, Sat, Christopher Lawrence @ Vinyl, Denver, CO
6/16, Sat, Ferry Corsten @ Vinyl, Denver, CO
6/22, Thurs, Rank 1 @ The Church, Denver, CO
7/21, Sat, Global Dance Festival w/Tiesto, Richard Vission @ Red Rocks, Morrison, CO
9/11, Oakenfold @ Red Rocks

Decent GOOD House/Techno:

5/25, Fri, "Uddermadness 1-year Anniversary" w/Bookashade & Gui Barrato @ Shelter AND Michael Mayer @ 2 AM (upstairs), Denver, CO
5/26, Sat, Richie Hawtin vs. Magda @ Vinyl, Denver, CO
6/14, Thurs, Donald Glaude @ The Church, Denver, CO
6/29, Fri, Funk D'Void @ The Shelter, Denver, CO

Trance is winning in my book.

:p :p :p :p

But this is a non-edmdimensional list - I post ALL events regardless of type, quality, or level of mayhem.
