Will be at AVB for sure. They have A & B posted for wednesday and they will be in Vegas for that night. They were to be here the 3rd of July but now Danny H is here for that night. |

Christian Smith and John Selway made this Detroit technohead dance her ass off on Sat night at Vinyl. And the crowd was kinda thin so not too many asshats. I seriously needed a good dose of techno and this guy was just sublime and it was the best set I've heard so far this year next to Modeselektor.
I've seen him three times and this was by far the best.
Then the 1am old creepy humping drunk men/little boys crowd came in and after the fifth humping attempt (and consequent elbow to said idiots gut) I decided it was time to go. Yet another reason I love Beta - NO GOD DAMN HUMPING! :whip: They need a full-time hump stopper bouncer at Vinyl - all the females who actually *know* who the DJ was would appreciate it. (hint: dancing enthusiastically to the music in a style that is not like grinding is NOT an open invitation to hump said ass or grab )
I kept asking myself - why the isn't Smith at Beta??? Seriously - that would have been sick to hear him on that sound system!
At any rate - that'll be the last time I venture to Vinyl for awhile. The lineup doesn't rate it from what I've seen coming this summer.
Next weekend - Zabiela and Tenaglia! Put on your dancing shoes! It's marathon weekend time! :toothless |

Better yet, try being there when they start serving pizza at noon and you can drink again - now that is fun. :) Always bring sunglasses with you - you never know how late it might be when you get home. |
