last time Booka came I thought it was pretty boring, Mayer and Boratto were definitely the highlight of the night by far...guess we'll have to see how their new album turns out |

so i wanted around until 130am to J00F. he played 60 seconds of the first track and the cops shut the place down. the guys from Kinetic Productions blamed everything on the cops, a security guard said theres was a fire code violation, others told me that Kinetic didn't have a all night permit and didn't think any one would know notice if they kept the party going past 130.
IMO Kinetic Productions dropped the ball. they should of made sure that the venue was good to go before hand. |

Sorry to hear that. Only reason I was going to go was for J00F - everyone else wasnt my thing. But wasnt able to go cause the family came up. Guess i lucked out big time.

Danny is up there with my fav long-set DJs - please say he'll get to spin longer than 2 hours? Who needs an opening DJ with Tenaglia - the man can open for himself and spin the whole 5 hours.

| Very impressed with Beta. Good music, vibe, people (no washers) and the funktion 1 is the best ive heard, only better one was ICE in Vegas and only because ice was smaller. |

Hello everyone - okay im sure alot of you have been asking alot of questions, so its time to clear them up...
Why did the po-po break up the party?
Well we did have permits. We had our fire watch permit from the fire department (hence why you guys saw a fire marshall roaming around all night). We had our change of occupancy, and Special Events permit from the Fire Department aswell. And our special events permit from the city. I will scan these and post them when i get to a scanner.
For alot of you who dont know this - Im going to just lay it all down for you.
There is a certain gentleman we will call him "Jim" - he doesnt like raves very much - who is good friends with someone on city council. This city council member is great friends with the chief of police.
We had detectives working our show - it was not normal police that broke us up, it was VICE - Head Narcotics.. There is a RAVE Task Force now in effect ...
The heat issue - not our fault, the property owner was suppose to get the heaters up and running, and well what do you know? NO ING HEAT.
Hey we made it 7 hours! -- Right now the scene is very sensitive - This stuff has just came into light about two weeks ago, but we thought that it wouldnt apply if we had the permits! Guess thats not true.
Scary to think that with permits and all, you can still get shut down.
THANKS TO EVERYONE!!
Please be careful with throwing a party guys.. We had 3 officers, two of which were detectives on payroll .. Firemarshall, and permits.. And it still got shutdown..

Nope not teasing :) The date will be announced soon!!
All of the headliners at Beta are scheduled to go on between 11 and 11:30pm. Playing music till 1:59 and stop selling booze at 1:45. As long as there is no booze on the floor past 2 am people can hang out for a bit. They will not use brute force to push people out of the club. You are allowed to leave at your leisure. |
