Let's see - for Skylab I got there around 11:30pm and got in, no problems. For Hallofreakinween, I got there at midnight and was turned away.

For that many people, there is no excuse, sorry. And the DJs not showing is yet another reason to be disappointed. It's poor ass planning on their part - especially with false advertisement of both DJs and venue capactity vs. tickets sold.

Bad show all around. I've never seen such a royal eff up.

Eric Prydz sucked. What ever kind of music he was playing was boring so I left 40 minutes into the set. I wish I could get my money back for the night. I'm starting to hate the club.

From where I was standing, the prydz show was exactly what I expected. I enjoyed it quite a bit. I had a few drinks though...so maybe my view of the night was based more on that.

Kris, Blau...I'm interested in hearing a more sober opinion.

Maybe i'll run into you there as well. i'm going to this bad boy no matter what. definatly better then the lame ass top-40/hip hop/"house" clubs they got in most of the casino's, even tho the chicks are hot in them, still not worth the ty music

So Judge Jules starts @ 1 AM on Nov. 10th (technically 11th I guess :tongue2). Know anything more about Lee Burridge? I haven't been able to find anything. I'm going to try and catch Sultan on the 12th @ JET too.

I guess Las Vegas doesn't do willcall/pre-sales or anything? I'm expecting to stand in line a lot.

+1

There were at least 200-300 other people being turned away at the door right along with us, and several cars still in line to get into the parking lot. This can't be blamed on us not showing up at 9pm or however early. Oh well...glad we had a backup plan.

THe denver clubs suck ass. No lighting and production at all. No fan turnout unless its top 5 - anyone below that even Ferry wont get the place packed.

THey once had lasers a long time ago... far far away haha. Those lasers are part of imagination land now.

i cant complain, if it wasn't foe me getting moved to Denver i probably would of never saw 90% of the DJs that i have seen in Denver. (Pittsburgh is not really up on the EDM)
biznology
wow...more reasons i never go out anymore. the people on this forum could run a better club night than those who try to in denver.

its very disgruntling|

Prydz was great - I was glad I venture out that night. I was pleasantly surprised as I hadn't expected much from him - I was not a fan of his essential mix at all. Oh yeah, and the crowd was the best I've ever seen at the Church - no grabbing of my ass and not as many fall over drunks and dumb blondes. People were there for Prydz and it showed.

Craig Richards at 2AM afterwards was also nutters - good dark hard techno. We stayed until around 4am and had a blast.

As for Denver clubs, they are very good for the US for a smaller city. NYC, Miami, LA - yeah, these are giant metropolis cities so of course they can spend more on the clubs, the lighting, the sound. It
s not fair to try to compare Denver to these places as they really aren't in the same league. But from all the smaller citites I've been to, Denver is the best. The sound is good and the DJ lineups they get are amazing for the scene size.

Isolator
Prydz completely owned on Friday - best set I have seen since SOS @ WMC last year. I was a really big fan of the essential mix and he pretty much gave me what I wanted. I agree that, in general, Denver clubs do kinda suck, mainly due to the crowd and the lame Colorado liquor laws. But the crowd is actually decent at the Church some nights and this was one of them, at least from my interaction.

New dates up for Colorado:

Jeff Mills, Scumfrog, Hector Romero, Christopher Lawrence, etc.
