people need to remember that this is denver colorado - this isn't LA or NYC or even Chicago.

i think beta is a phenomenal club for denver and I know they're still working on it.

Avalon in LA is the only club that i've been to in the US that imo has better sound than what i experienced at beta on saturday.

omega if you're passing along suggestions to brad, i have one suggestion and one request.

suggestion
have them add newcastle to the bars, if you could get them to add peroni too that'd be ace, but newcastle at the least.

request
also - please please please have lee burridge play open to close he will ing destroy that place

thanks in advance

I will pass that message after WMC ;)
But I gotta disagree with the sound system at Avalon been better than the one in Beta. 1st, the system at Avalon is almost never tweeked right and 2nd, Beta has the newer F1 system which no one in North America has.

Junkie XL added to GDF at Red Rocks - fack! Get SOME NEW BLOOD IN THERE! I WANT TO SEE SOME GOOD HAUS AND TECHNO!

At least Tiestor is off the books - he'll be in a far off country on that date. But that still leaves Joakenfold to be considered which would be my ultimate turnoff.

Some suggestions? Danny Howells, Carl Cox, Sven Vath, Steve Lawler, Deep Dish, Sasha & Digweed, etc

Granted, not all of these are feasible but give us some credit. No matter what lineup you pick, it will be rammed.

i can't see any of those but maybe the deep dish guys playing gdf unfortunately, especially w/ triad dragons throwing it

imo we need open to close howells/burridge sets and nights like the cheap sunglasses/drumcode parties at beta...three on that system would be insane

Definitely agreeing on the Howells all night set - the man is like Tenaglia - two hours cannot compare to his extended sets. I'd like to see Zabiela do that as well - he'd kill that soundsystem.

Richie doing a marathon set as well.....drool.

And yeah, I know about GDF - I can dream though, can't I? After the Daft Punk show last summer, seeing any of those there would be killer. That venue is made for banging tunes - not tired, old tunes.

AT least the DEMF partial lineup is out - just waiting for the Minus crew to join in. :)

You're funking kidding me! AHHHHHHH!!!!

Here's hoping *this* has a good lineup - better than missing Tom Petty anyday!

Checked out Beta Thursday night to see Dragon rock it and the place met my expectations. The sound system is amazing and refreshing to hear these days. Lasers are awesome and set up well. The lighting didn't seem to be on full force last night though. Tried to check out the 2nd room but it was too packed to even get in when I tried. Upstairs lounge is cool and the pics of DJs on the walls are a nice touch. Bars are big and have great service. One thing that probably wont be an issue most nights is the amount of people hanging out in the DJ booth. I was invited up there but it became a free for all later on and Ha was kicking people out frequently. Nice booth though with plenty of room for the DJs.

I think Thursdays are a great night to check the place out with a smaller crowd but still plenty to get the place rockin. Can't wait to see Sander van Doorn there in April.

I'm new to Denver and have only been to Vinyl and the Church once so far. Coming from California, Beta feels very welcoming. I think we're in for an amazing summer with this place and all the other events coming up.

Looking forward to meeting more of you at the Denver clubs and parties and look for me to be in the DJ booth soon.

:D

I guess I'll be meeting you soon then ;) And yes, it was way too crowded up there thursday night but it won't be like that other nights. It was just an exception thursday... Specially when the Beatport guys are up there, you won't see all those little kids there.
