lol, I don't know where you're getting this....
the guy is a shooter....one of the best in the league for that matter.
his job and roll on this team is to shoot shoot shoot shoot shoot shoot. he's hit big shots that have started runs for raps so I can't see where you are coming from when you say the timing of his shots is off. he's only going to avg 10-12 points a game....maybe you were expecting the guy to put up like 16 a game and are dissapointed? he's there to spread the floor and give the offense another dimension....not pour the points in every game. |
lets say i was expecting 12-14 points from him, considering what we paid for him, and him being a league leading 3-pointer and all. I'm not saying he's playing absolutely horrible, as he did have some good drives to the basket, but he's hardly been doing it for us either.
again, our whole offense is doing poorly though, so i'm not trying to lay blame squarely on him. the way we played last year, he should be thriving in our system.

I'd love to see Dixon and Graham packaged off for a serviceable PF...and then pick up Luke Jackson again, lol. I thought he had talent...just never got the chance to do anything here. |
Yea I thought we should've kept Luke Jackson too. Instead we have Jamario Moon. We'll see how he plays out.
We could also throw Rasho into that deal, and pick up a true big man for centre. |

personally I wouldn't want 2 part with Rasho
but if its packaged and we get a solid centre, that would be great
how about rasho/dixon/graham to orlando for howard :D :D wishful thinking
hahaha
but truly, i wonder what BIG rebounders out there are available
we would have to look at a "big" team who needs a swing player
I can't think of any at the moment, I'll have to do some research
none the less, trade deadline a team will DEFINITELY be looking for one |

Exactly the type of player who could benefit the Raptors over the course of the season. Loads of athleticism, can rebound very well for his size and has good intensity on defense. |

we picked him up in the off season, and let luke jackson go in favour of jamario. so far, i'm really impressed. he will definitely benefit us.
quick comment on tonights game:
-props to parker and bosh. they played incredible when we needed it most. bargs wasn't too bad either |

I think Rasho in the first quarter being a monster on the boards set the tone for the Raps defence. He gave the Raps exactly what was needed.
Have a feeling Mitchell will go back to starting Rasho in first quarter and rotate players in center like last year again |

raps are dominating the bulls right now
its only the 3rd quarter but this game is close to being over
but anyways, watching this game
the bulls are a struggling team
maybe theyll want a shakeup
they got a few good rebounders on the team
maybe colangelo can work some sort of trade
the bulls 3pt % is only at 27% on the season (altho early)
they could use a 3 point shooter
we could use a rebounder

| quote: | Gasol claims Raptors have grudge against Garbajosa
November 10, 2007
By Cindy Garcia-Bennett Special to PA SportsTicker
MADRID, Spain (Ticker) - Jorge Garbajosa's minutes with the Toronto Raptors are down so far this season and his insistence on playing for Spain at EuroBasket 2007 may have something to do with it.
That's the view of Garbajosa's international teammate Pau Gasol.
"It's surprising and unexpected, (Garbajosa's) situation," the Memphis Grizzlies forward wrote in his weekly column in Spanish newspaper Marca.
"There's something strange going on because Jorge says that he feels fine. I think that for all the things he did in the summer and his desire to play in the national team at the EuroBasket, the Raptors have a bit of a grudge."
Garbajosa was a vital part of Toronto's Atlantic Division-winning team last season, but missed the playoffs after suffering a gruesome ankle injury.
The Raptors did not want him to play at the EuroBasket as he continued his rehabilitation, but with the tournament in his native Spain and the national side having won gold at the FIBA World Championship the year before, Garbajosa persisted and eventually acquired a special insurance policy that covered the injury.
After a preseason game in which Garbajosa played 18 minutes, signs of a disagreement between Garbajosa and the team were evident.
Coach Sam Mitchell said the forward "just (has) to get his confidence back and his timing back."
However, Garbajosa hit back.
"That's his opinion," he said. "He is the coach ... physically I'm great. I have all the confidence in myself. So what can I do?"
Through six games so far, the 6-9 Garbajosa has played an average of less than seven minutes.
In Friday's 105-103 win over Philadelphia, Mitchell elected not to play Garbajosa at all. |

| quote: | The crazed Raptors fans might be the single craziest group of fanatics on the Web other than the 9/11 Truthers. You should have seen my e-mail inbox after I had the gall to pick Toronto to miss the playoffs for some very sane reasons -- namely, that Chris Bosh was having knee problems, they have four key guys who are below-average defenders (Andrea Bargnani, Ford, Jason Kapono and Jose Calderon), and they overachieved in a weaker conference last season. Of course, I wasn't counting on Carlos Delfino and Jamario Moon emerging from nowhere to give them defense and athleticism from the swingman spots. Carlos Delfino and Jamario Moon??? Really? I was supposed to see that one coming? I didn't see how they could match up against the LeBrons, Wades and Pierce/Allen combos, but Delfino's emergence alone has been intriguing enough that I had to bump them up four wins.
Reason No. 12,361 why I love the NBA: The Raptors fans are like overbearing Little League parents, only in this case, they're passionate about an NBA team instead of a Little League son. What do you mean my kid isn't good enough??? He's one of the best hitters on this team! You just don't like him, that's the real problem here! And by the way, that's not a knock. If every city cared about its team as much as the Toronto cares about the Raps, the NBA would be a much better place. |
