TO guy
I think I'm done with pro basketball for a while. I know this seems like an angry rant from a Raps fan, but I think the league has crossed the sport/entertainment border too far to the entertainment side. Basketball is pretty much professional wrestling these days. I really dislike how the game is being called these days. I hate that refs don't enforce rules if it takes away from the entertainment of the game (i.e. travelling, three seconds, fouls called on star players, etc.).

Until the game cleans up, I may watch an occasional game, but that's about it.

Iuno... maybe the refs can't see it all, that's one flaw in sports... human error. That's why NFL uses instant replay and all that, and tennis uses hawk-eye for all those hairline line hits.

the last thing b-ball needs is instant replays. it's fine for quarter-ending shots to determine if they should count, but if they implement it for foul calls, I'm done watching.

anyone watching the Celtics *destroy* Atlanta in game 7 right now? Boston may have looked vulnerable early on in the series, but DAMN is this a statement going into the next round. KG is a beast! 18pts, 11reb, 1blk...after only 3 quarters. Starters hit the bench for the 4th with a 30+ pt lead, lol.

Utah-Lakers series starts right afterwards...should be a good one.

My desire was for Houston to pull off a big upset and win it all...despite hating McGrady, Alston, etc. Dikembe deserves a title and has been a defensive presence since Yao went down. I caught part of one game and he had 10 boards sometime during the 3rd quarter. not bad for an 'old man' playing limited minutes...and a class act.

Hell, I wouldn't mind seeing him start at C for the Raps next year, LOL...but Houston would be idiotic to let him go (assuming he does play next year).

The outcome of the Boston game was pretty obvious. They played like crap on the road but every game in Boston was borderline blowout. Let's see how they do against a team that can play on the road though. Maybe not Cleveland necessarily as they're pretty weak; but the Conference finals against Detroit will really expose the Celtics.

Oh, and CP3 for MVP. No contest. The only reason Kobe will get it is because he didn't get it the 3 previous years.

Seriously.

Did anyone figure this guy would be this amazingly good so fast and set himself up as one of the premier, if not the premier PG in NBA?

He's the best PG in the league. Easily. I can't imagine anyone making a case for any other PG at this point. The only other guy that comes close is Deron Williams but that's a distant second. Then you have the rest of the pack with Nash, Davis, Calderon, Rondo, Kidd, etc. The guy [Paul] is just unbelievable. The only way the Spurs win this series is if they take CP out of his game, which will in turn take every other player out of their game on the Hornets. Good luck with that though. I hope the Hornets take it in 4 LOL

The crazy thing is how young the guy is and I really hope that this isn't his peak year. He could go down as one of the all-time greats if he keeps this up for a few more years.

yeah, CP3 is the best player to watch play the game right now. He has the ability to get his shot off at any time, but he makes his entire squad dangerous by moving the ball. Not only that, he rebounds too!

Paul definitely deserves it...but Kobe will have the sympathy vote because of going from "trade me" to leading the team to being a title contender (the Gasol trade helped). Nevermind the last 3 years, he's never won it. As much as I don't like him, he's clearly among the best players to have played the game, so it's kind of funny that's he's never won an MVP trophy.

Well that's what I meant: he was clearly the best player in the league the past few years but instead they gave it to Nash and Nowitzki (that was hilarious), but this year, I think he'll get it because of that. Not the sympathy vote about wanting to be traded. So I guess next year or the year after that Chris Paul should get the MVP vote.

I don't get where all the hate for Kobe comes from tho
