^ poland, that's last weeks news :p
I know we're two games in the hole, yet now I feel like we have Orland on the run. hahah Wishful thinking I know I know, but if we can take these two at home then go back to Orlando with all that momentum (plus by then having our matchups/small game figured out) this series could get a lot better. |

all the Raps has to do in this series is shut down Manbeast Howard. That's it.
Without Howard, other Magic players are containable, and arguably, Raps have an edge in all other positions.
But, if last 2 games and entire season's game vs Magic is any indication, Mitchell has no solution... |

Kapono is pretty on defense though...but yes, for his salary, he should be playing more (at least to be trade bait if they don't plan on using him).
Bargnani...agreed that his development has been slow (re: non-existent), but that's as much his fault as that of Mitchell.
He isn't a great defender and refuses to crash the boards on either end. The guy only had ONE rebound in 18 minutes last game, and only THREE in 28 min. before...and all defensive ones. For a guy of his size and agility, that's just crap. He needs to be *way* more aggressive out there.
It's unfair to compare him to Dirk, but Bargnani should be patterning his game after him...except Dirk plays with intensity that Bargnani lacks right now.
tired or not, Bosh's decision to shoot was awful...you ALWAYS take that to the hoop. Down by 1, even if he sinks 1 of 2 shots, they go to OT. Instead, it's yet another example of settling for the jump shot which Howard didn't even try to defend. brutal. Take it to the rim!!! The refs can't refuse the call every time.
besides...if the refs blow the call, that's not your problem...you did your job. you choose to shoot, and you miss, then it's all on you to explain why you took the low % option with the game on the line. |

Just remembered how awesome the game was. The crowd sounded and looked awesome on T.V. So wish I was at the game (although screaming at my television at home is fun as well).
Seriously considering scalping tickets for Saturday. |

things that made last nights game great:
- Howard Taunts
- 'Jose Jose Jose' chants lol, SO deserved
- Turkoglu Technical, him looking so annoyed w/ refs & crowd, him clapping hahah
- our defense
- "Captain Kapono" (that's my new name for him)
- Van Gundy looking like a 24/7 walking heart attack
things that annoyed me:
- TJ Ford
- mismatched crowd colors again lol
- Bargs and those 3 point attempts? wtf |

once again, let's compare stats:
TJ - 7/11, 21pts, 5reb, 3ast, 1/1 3pt, 2 stl, 1 TO
Jose - 6/11, 18pts, 7reb, 13ast, 4/8 3pt, 0 stl, 3 TO
much closer and TJ scored well in the first half...but 13 ast to 3 in favour of Jose is exactly why he should to play the bulk of the minutes instead of sharing them. Bosh and Moon had more assists than TJ and Kapono tied him. weak.
But...I'm still glad they're splittnig minutes. Raps aren't winning this year and they need to really showcase TJ in the playoffs to maximize his trade value. |
