i'm suprised it's taken so long for this bus to get going.

tj ford is a cancer... he is not smart enough to play the pg position and make his team better.

you can not be a successful team with a me first point guard unless that point guard is an unbelievable player. Look at francis, marbury, payton and any other pg that exhibits the NN complex. I would put AI in this category to, but it seems like after 12 years he finally understands what the game is about.

I disagree with virtually everything posted here. AI is an undersized 2, not a point. Philly tried to make him something he was not, and only after much distress, did they bring in a point guard in Snow to actually run the team. To those who call him a ball hog, look at the talent he was surrounded with. Now, for the first time in his career, he has other guys around him who can score, and all the sudden he looks like a team player. Sure, he has an adversion to practice, but no one can question what or how he does things on the court.

Although I think Jose is a better 1 than TJ, TJ has the north american mentality to the point guard position. He is a penetrate and kick player, who also goes looking for his own. I am an old school fan, I prefer a pass-first mentality at point to any scoring point guard [playing with the pass-first PGs always made the game so much easier for me and anyone else on my run], but his numbers don't lie. He does score, he does get a greater than average number of assists per minutes played, albeit he may not make it seem as seamless as jose. Personally, I think we're blessed in Toronto for having both approachs to the 1 spot coming from 2 very capable guards.

But as a side note, how dangerous is Jose now that he can make an open shot coming off the screen? WOW

And has the ability to blow by people for easy lay ups if they are playing him too tight

We all knew that Boston is going to be good, but I don't think we all realized how well Pierce-Garnett-Allen combo is gelling.

their strong start is a bit misleading b/c they play all these garbage east teams for almost 6weeks to start. they don't play any of the west contenders until december and don't really have any rough road trips until then.

I defended TJ and still give him props for keeping us in most of the games this season but I will always favour Calderon over him. Jose is understands the position. We have amazing shooters on the team. Our point guard needs create plays for them, not for himself. The reason why we've lost so many close games is because teams took our other players out of the game and let TJ take over.

Before I said that Dixon and Rasho should be traded; but I honestly wouldn't mind any sort of package that involved Dixon, Rasho, TJ or Kapono for a really good player.

I would never go so far as to say TJ is a "cancer"...that's a bit much and unfair...although I still think he's not the true PG that Jose is.

However, to all those who prefer TJ over Jose, take note of Jose's last two games.

40+ minutes each game and, combined, he had ONE turnover and TWENTY-SEVEN assists while committed only ONE foul in each...even getting his first block. He's also 14 for 15 from the line this year. The first wasn't a great shooting game for him, but with an assist-to-turnover ratio that would make any GM in this league cream their pants...who cares.

it's premature to say "trade TJ"...but if the Raps ever do decide to part with one of their PGs, it sure as had better not be Jose or they've lost a fan in me!

give this dude whatever the hell he wants to keep him in a Raptor uniform!!!

Celtics end Knicks' brief winning streak with colossal romp
November 29, 2007

BOSTON (AP) -- The New York Knicks' brief winning streak is history, and the Boston Celtics nearly made history ending it.

The Celtics cruised to one of the easiest victories ever on Thursday night, beating New York 104-59 to send the Knicks to their third-worst loss and their second-worst scoring performance of the shot-clock era.

Only Nate Robinson's 37-foot 3-pointer at the final buzzer saved the Knicks from an even bigger embarrassment.

And unlike the Boston area's NFL team, the Celtics didn't even try to run up the score.

Kevin Garnett played just 22 minutes, scoring eight points before leaving the game midway through the third quarter with Boston ahead 69-34. Paul Pierce and Ray Allen also sat out the fourth quarter and played 29 minutes apiece. And Rajon Rondo dribbled out 24 of the final 26 seconds, turning the ball over on purpose rather than go for a 50-point win.

The Knicks were last within 10 points with 4:11 left in the first period. They didn't come within 20 after the Celtics took a 39-18 lead with 5:27 left in the second. Boston made it 30 points for good with 9:14 left in the third, and then extended it to 40 less than five minutes later.

Eddie House hit a 3-pointer to give Boston a 50-point lead, 93-43, with 8:53 to play in the game.

With the way the Knicks were playing in that game I'm surprised they even had a winning streak in the first place.

Kinda strange how the season is layed out, like why does it take so long for the Celts to play the Western Conference teams? It will be interesting to see how they match up.
