I arrived just after digweed came on with a couple of acquaintances since my friends bailed out on the last minute...so I was pretty much by myself most of the night.
okay I made the mistake of checking the roll call thread before leaving only to find out about sasha not making it :whip: ...I WAS disappointed no doubt, but I too was really looking forward to see diggers more than sasha because I'm a big prog fanatic.
I thought diggers blew me away in the last 2 hours as well. I couldn't stop moving and went absolutely bonkers on some of the bombs he dropped back to back...all this while I was perfectly sober. and yes, I too thought he compensated for sasha not being there by throwing some of the sasha sound (although IMO, sasha's sound can't be pigeonholed)..and wasn't the very last closing track of the set a breaks tune?
I could only ID a couple of tunes:
1. Gridlock (his latest edit I believe)
2. Gregor Tresher - A Thousand Nights (i'm pretty sure it was the new Dubfire Remix)
3. Myomi - Sun in My Eyes (Paul Woolford Mdma Dub)
Agreed about the KH sound being bass heavy and it was really hard to find a spot where you could appreciate the melodies which is extremely important for me personally in the tunes I listen to.
also agreed about the crowd being great and polite as well. I had a person apologize after bumping into me while I was taking a video...it was one of those black couches at the back that he didn't notice.
all in all, I don't think I missed Sasha as much as I thought I would. But again, like someone else already mentioned..just for the sake of saying "I've seen Sasha & Digweed play live together", I was disappointed. Musically, not too much.
I actually spotted quite a few TOTAs who post frequently but didn't go up and say hi to anyone since I wasn't sure of the reaction I'd get for being a complete unknown to most of you old-time registered TAs.
the next BIG event I'm really looking forward to this year for my dose of progressive tunage is the boat cruise with Luke Fair :D

Never been to Circa, but if that's what happens there I have to go sometime ! hah
