But not long after he started he was playing some realy BORING tunes, seemed like the crowd was dead until he picked it up. I usually love lower BMP house / prog but some of the tunes that he dropped were extremely boring (cant believe I’m saying this).
Aren't most digweed style tracks/sets pretty much boarderline boring?
IMO he pretty much plays sleepy progressive, at least the majority of the time.
I like to listen to Digweed sets when I am just chilling, or studying or something, not when I want to party!

Diggers was just Diggers, consistently and awesomely delivering for over 20 years.
His set did get boring/repetitive in the middle part, but he picked it up around 3:30 and took everyone on a insane journey, still worth every penny of the $30.
Too bad Sasha couldn't make it, and the crowd was suspiciously over-friendly and cool, apologizing for pushing and stepping on toes? now, that was a first.

if i could have one complaint, its that his set would build up and then he'd slow down. But this was not really a major issue.
thats one of the reasons i think it was awesome.....wasnt just a flatline vibe....

Apparently that fat had his baggage stolen containing his passport or he was coked out on the tour bus.

Honestly, after looking forward to it for months, I was HUGELY dissapointed that Sasha wasn't there. However, was I to say "screw this" and drive home? Hell no. We headed in and proceeded to have a fantastic night - one of my better event evenings - with some great friends.
Musically, it was consistantly pretty good - not incredible - but some of the buildups were fantastic. The second last hour was quite solid, but it took a little while to get there, and some of the beats were a bit bland for me - not entirely his fault, however. The sound was simply too bass heavy, not tight enough, and lacking in the mids. However, What it lacked in energy and bangers, Diggers made up for with his style and lack of ego - I LOVED the fact that he not once had a spot on him, and there wasn't a jesus pose to be seen. Just a shadow in the background, exactly what the DJ should be. One thing bothers me, though: my group was given no free drink passes, and 30 dollars to me is a bit lame, considering we were just basically paying for a second party that none of us are remotely interested in going to - weekend party sessions just can't happen for me anymore. Weak. To be honest, I get to party once every 4 months, and I'm still pretty annoyed that I was cheated out of what I had longed for for years.
I would rate the night highly - though it wasn't the 10 I was yearning for, it was a solid 8 for good vibes and good times.

Perhaps less mainstream, ego driven the music, the less you'll get egocentric behavior? The good brings the good ;)

It was too bad sasha was unable to show :( I was really looking forward to the both of them together.. hopefully they make another stop at the end of their tour or come back together in 08 again..
But I'd have to agree with a bunch of you -- some of his tracks were fking amazing, but some got a little too repetitive and felt like they weren't going anywhere. I still think the best diggers set I saw was @ system back in .. 05 was it?... well back tonight for some swedish electro hotness !

Diggers was good but not at his best. Way too techy for the first couple of hours and I agree that it got a bit tedious at times. Sad to hear that he stepped it up a notch after 3:30, since that's when I left.
I was one of the few who wasn't totally bummed about the Sasha situation and I'm still not sure if his presence would have improved the set. Ah well, let's hope they soon come back to Toronto as a duo.
