Hitler could have won with the troops he had if he had used them properly. His arrogance caused him to send his troops into the Russia with no winter provisions because he assumed Russia would be crushed before then. He could have got away with this mistake had he listened to his generals and capitalized on the advantage his surprise attack gave him by advancing directly to Moscow. Hitler would not listen of course and wasted two valuable months trying to take Leningrad with the troops he should have sent to Moscow. By the time he gave up on overrunning Leningrad it was already October and heavy rains came to disrupt his supply lines and make it difficult to advance. Just about the time the Germans could finally advance again the first blizzards of winter hit to freeze the unprepared German troops. All while the Russians were using their rail network to resupply Moscow with fresh troops prepared for winter fighting.
Had Hitler moved on Moscow in August 1941 instead of going to Leningrad he would have crushed the majority of the Soviet army there and overrun the city before the bad weather set in. This would have changed the face of the war completely, there is no way the D-day invasion could have taken place when it did if there was no war on the Eastern front to occupy some of Hitler's best troops. But like I said, fortunately for the world that fool was both insane and a horrible military commander. |
Well that, and the fact that we had Vasily Grigoryevich Zaytsev! |

he was also most likely a methamphetamine addict as well which didn't help with his decision making ability |

I wasn't disputing that. I am very well aware of those points you made. I fully agree with that view, but we both know also, that if he had more troops on that whole front he would have had the Soviets on their knees. |

Good to see them back in good form. |
good form? LOL their soldiers live in hole and they admit it too. i dont know if you remember clip where one russian soldier destroyed some civilians home with a tank cuz he was drunk, on the way to the base with some more vodka, ing LOL. they are nowhere near good form. they are still the same vodka loving lazy pieces of like you
and if you call russian jets bombing georgian people's houses ass kicking then god help your poor soul. cuz if it comes down to military action, we destroyed about 12 jets and 40 russian tanks, we put up a fight. oh and guess why you havent seen russian tanks firing once, cuz they dont even work, i bet tanks need caring just like cars do like changing oil or some , but you know russians, one thing they care about is their vodka. tanks are there for the show and to panic people. russians only did air strikes which did the most damage. |
