Russia made Ukraine what it is. They industrialised it and built the infrastructure from NOTHING, and they repay us by removing Russian TV, forcing all the ethnic Russians in Crimea and the east to learn a useless language and trying to join evil America's sphere of influence. Have you ever been to western Ukraine? They're all a bunch of backward cow fuckers. I went to Lvov and when I tried to speak Russian (I don't speak useless Ukrainian), they hissed and spat at me. them. Russia will beat their mothering asses. ing pigs. ing nobodies. They make Borat look enlightened.

The only good Ukrainians are the Russian minority. They still control everything that's not in the hands of the ty government.

I just think it's amusing that the most prolific Russian leaders haven't even been Russian. Catherine the Great was a mix of Polish and German, Stalin was Georgian, and Brezhnev was Ukrainian. The Russians don't realize it, but they've been dominated by their neighbors for centuries. :p

Brezhnev was an ethnic Russian. Stalin was half Ossetian. Ossetians are our brothers. Sadly for all his greatness, Stalin's weak Georgian side occasionally got in the way. If he had been fully Ossetian or Ossetian/Russian, I'm sure the Soviet Union would still be in existence today and you wouldn't be talking about Russia.

brezhnez = stagnation not exactly sure if he would be considered a good leader...stalin was a vile evil person if i were russian i wouldn't want him to be assciated with me. yes he centralized everything but at what costs? now i always wondered what would have been if stalin hadn't beaten trotsky bukharin zinoviev kamenev and the others to lead after lenin, he was by far the underdog...plus lenin didn't exactly like him nor pick him as a favorite.

I suggest you look up the definition of "vile" and "evil" in an English dictionary. It certainly does not fit the bill of a man who improved the lives of millions of people for centuries to come.

If the Soviet Union did not exist, the Nazis would probably have won as nobody in the west had the balls to stand up to them.

The Soviet Union had so much potential - a huge workforce, a decent industrial base, and resources up to their eyeballs. I guess the only thing left to blame for their epic failure in the Cold War is the resolve of the Russian people, eh, champ?

you are clearly uneducated in stalinism, i find him to be one of the most interesting people in all history but that doesn't take away that he wasn't a good person.

also have you forgotten that the only reason the ussr fought the nazis was because hitler ed stalin by going against their secret treaty? stalin was more than willing to sit around and let hitler exterminate people but he only gave a when the nazis invaded the ussr. obviously the nazis couldn't fight a two front war and hitler knew that hence the reason he got close to stalin right before. also, after the end of wwi i believe germany was forbidden to engage in military practices in germany but that didn't stop the soviets from sending them military aide to further their military education. seriously learn some damn history. i'm utterly fascinated with russian/soviet history which at times i think makes me a bit more sympathetic to russia then i should but i'm not delusional.
