Wait.
So what did you do for a living?
Nurse?
School teacher?
Secretary?
Stay at home mom?
A workplace is no place for "the other kind"

It's quite fun as a change after working in offices etc. I like to sleep in and instead work later in the afternoon/evening. I can be sort of a loner, I have no problems being alone and on my own. Also it makes group work much more fun when you get to change things up.
I'm also still studying, I can also study at home if I want to. |
what do you do?
working from home is great, but sometimes it can be hard to get motivated. For instance, i should be sending out info as we speak, but am too busy post whoring. |

Programming, web design, databases, etc.
Stuff you only need a laptop & phone to do. |

| I worked from home, and it sucked. Rather, it was definitely not for me. |

I do agree it's a fun change. I like the conveniences of working from home. I do take advantage of being able to work from home every once in a while.
I pretty much enjoy going to work for the social interaction and because it's a quick walk from where I live. Besides, my office is in the same building as a big modeling agency and I do enjoy the eye candy on a daily basis :tongue3 |

same here. I love the fact i am working from home at the moment, because i am free from the office, and don't have to do too much to get prepared to go to work. however, i do know it's going to turn me into a lazy ass, so i do go out with my laptop to get away from my place. |

I GOT A JOBBYYYYY!
omg the interview i went on yesterday was awesome. i honestly wasn't expecting much from it at all and didn't even know why they called me to begin with since it's real estate law and corporate litigation (no experience in those fields), but i figured what the hell i should just go. i ended up LOVING the guy. it's just him and me and we share office space with some other attys but obviously i don't work for them.
he is the most laid back guy i can tell. he reminds me of my old boss who was super nice and i loved. it pays more than what i was making plus benefits and he gives random bonuses like if he settles a big case. he doesn't care about sick days or personal days, he told me "as long as the work gets done and you don't abuse it, i don't care if u need to take a day". and i have 2 weeks vacation a year.
it's like the total opposite of my last ing boss who would chew my head off if i told him i had a doctors appt. which i rarely have.
im so ing happy and excited to dive into this type of law, i've been wanting to learn real estate law for a while. i'm getting 2 weeks of training from his old assistant starting monday and i'm getting paid for those 2 weeks too. his assistant is only leaving because her husband got a job offer and she told me she is really sad to leave and that he is a great guy to work for.
oh and not only that, but the other attys that i had the 2nd interview with called yesterday to basically tell me that they really want me on board but they couldn't decide on my salary and they'd get back to me. i already sent them an email telling them thanks but i took another job that i couldn't pass up.
i'm going to the beach to celebrate today with my bf:)
