Yup. They are not vacation days, they are there just in case you get sick.

That's actually a great idea.

Just throw all of your garbage at the picket lines. Since there's no one to clean it up, it'll stay there and rot while they try and picket

So then I'm assuming you're in too.

Why isn't garbage collection contracted out? $28.50/hr for a garbage collector is allot of money.

Often they won't empty my green bin because apparently if it weights over 20kilos they don't have to empty it. Of course they don't weigh it but apparently when you make 28.50/hr you have a magical abilty to guess weight. It doesn't take allot of wet food, kitty litter, etc.. to = >20kilos. I'm guessing the bin alone is 10-15lbs. Its ridiculous that the city gets everyone on the green/recycling band wagon and then you get penalized for recycling too much compost. Now when i think i have over 20 kilo's in my green bin i throw it in the normal trash. What other choice do I have?

I would If I had garbage. But i'm a suburban too :P

But I might bring my work garbage with me! I will be a Torontonian in a few months, so I might as well jump on the bandwaggon.

Exactly my problem, too. They haven't taken it twice this year.

Maybe those guys are the guys that guess your weight at the CNE. Such skill.

If you want to blame anybody, blame the city because they want us on strike. within one pay period (2 weeks) they will make 7.2 million and it only cost 4 million to clean up the city. Don't believe anything you hear or read, it's all about money - it's what they want.
