this site would not exist if this man didn't popularize dance music.
I wouldn't go that far...there were a few before him including Elvis, The Rat Pack and others who had a influence on pop culture, politics etc without the medium MJ had in the 80's-present, without them there would be no him, just like without him there would be no Justin Timberlake etc...
everybody has to go, its not such a big blow...he didn't cure cancer, fight wars, he performed and well...touched him self a few times maybe a few kids (whoknows)
But there are certainly bigger fish to fry then a great dancer and singer kicking the bucket...I'll say it Michael Jackson is dispenisble...
