That's not true, I just don't care that he's died lol. An actor, a singer, or a DJ, if they die, doesn't matter to me. Someone who's created or is working on a cure for a disease, those are the people that matter lol. |

You should. I bet some of the song and/or productions you like are influenced by Michael. So without him...it wouldn't have been done, or been done well enough to be liked. Shame.
- he raised money to give to a cure for research. That's a huge help. |

So why are you posting in this thread if you don't care?
I love how all these righteous people come in this thread and say Jackson's death doesn't matter. "What about the sick and dying people in the world?" they complain. What are you doing to help the sick or dying people in the world? Why bring it up in this thread? Like come on, there isn't one entertainer you care about if they died?
You may have not been a Michael fan, but there must be some famous person you'd care about if they died. Geez...
If the people complaining were volunteers, soldiers, scientists, etc complaining, then maybe I'd cut some slack. But these people either want attention or are jealous of the impact that Jackson's made. (I've seen a million people complain on facebook...attention whores that are jealous)
Michael was an inspiration for many. He's cheered me up on some bad days, and some of the best memories of my youth were listening to his tunes. He's inspired people to become entertainers, make something of their lives, etc.
I can separate the entertainer from all the stuff he was accused of. From his debut to about 1992 or so, he was ing untouchable.
Sure he's ed up, but if you haven't ed up once in your life you haven't lived an interesting life. |

He probably did have an influence on the music I now listen to now and the music that's played, good on him for that. It still doesn't affect me that he's gone though. It's just a person.
At one point he had close to a billion dollars net worth, and i'm sure he helped to raise money towards a cure for some things, but I wonder what % of his own money he actually put towards it. When you have that kind of money and you give a little away to charity, that hardly makes someone a hero. When it comes down to it he was just an entertainer, so it just doesn't bother me. |

It's the internet and I'm allowed to post on here because it's public domain, that's why.
I never once made a shot towards him saying his music sucked, or he wasn't good, he was awesome, and I liked his music. When I hear his songs now I still sing along to them, I'm not saying anything about that at all. I just don't care though. He was just an entertainer, and those people don't affect my life if they're gone, they just don't. It's just a person, people die all the time. A family member dieing, I care about, some entertainer, nope. |

I tend to agree....when I hear of any celebrity passing away I go WOW and then move on. I have no true attachment to the person that would cause me any real heart felt emotion if they were no longer around. |
