I think it's because we're all in here mourning, talking about how we feel, favorite shows, videos, etc and you come in here like a ball of negativity.

The strange part of my day yesterday was that I woke at 6am and started to play Michael Jackson on youtube. I never play MJ. He's just not someone I listen to anymore. When I heard the news of his passing, I was in shock.
MJ was a significant artist to the dance music world and this is one day that I will probably not forget.

It's so disappointing to read some of the things that ppl have said. Such disrespect for the dead doesn't surprise me anymore. It's obvious that upbringing has a lot to play with how people react.

People can say what they want but you were 100% original.
MJ gave himself unconditionally to his performance. On or off stage he was Michael...a straight up devoted entertainer. He gave his all and treated his fans like they were his family because that's all he grew up knowing. No one ever walked away feeling regret of how much his tickets cost...cuz you got every pennies worth.
Those of us that grew up with you, will always love , miss & remember your GREATNESS.
For me...I will always remember you looking like this and wonder who you were singing about when you recorded ...
For those of you who own original vinyl...It's the only lp where you hear him cry at the end of the song. I always felt that cry was real. I used to wish he could be happy. Liberian Girl must have been another great love. Makes me wonder how many times he's had to give up his love for the sake of his Entertainment life.
It's sad.

I'm actually sadder today than I was yesterday...Replaying his life and everthing that happened to him over in my head..It's such a tragic story and watching the tributes shows last night, and hearing him speak, made me ralize what a truly remarkable human being he was...
To those that don't give a , you have a total right to not give a ..but seriously, why do you keep repeating it like you get some perverse pleasure from letting people know that you lack sensitivity and compassion. Just stay out of the thread as that would be the best way to show that you just don't care. Wouldn't it?

It was obviously a shock and awful thing to happen, however, MJ was 50. He had a long and fulfilled life and accomplished so much. I seriously doubt his career would've rebounded and although I was saddened by the news of his passing...I cant help but think of all those talented individuals who also passed away but at a much younger age...the deaths of people like Morrison, Cobain etc who actually died BEFORE their time.
I think MJ brought the world an amazing gift with his music, and had the chance to live the best years of his life and experience the peak of his career. I think for that, we should be thankful. After all, many talented artist do not get the chance to see their 50th birthdays....
