I missed the second hour of Richie Hawtin's set because I wanted to go to the Koolhaus to see Ferry Corsten...also because I prefer trance.
How was it? Was it better than the first? Did I miss anything good? |

Lawler at Skybar was ing immense.
Analogue People in a Digital World - Rose Rouge was the track of the night, as well as Lawler's remix of Koma Koma that I've been wanting to hear in the right place.
Great night, wish I was still on that roof (with a little more energy!)
The only thing that pissed me off is people kept trying to get out of the Skybar from the stairs they came in from, and I was right beside those doors and got really annoying after a while :|
Can't wait till next year! |

that was one of the highlight tunes of my morning....

when that sun came up, and when experiencing those few moments of party madness at the front of the booth, it made me realize that the sunrise sessions still have their magic. They may be over-hyped, too packed, and too sketchy, but these parties are something that makes Toronto unique, that many people in this city look forward to, and are really one of the biggest parties each year. |
true speak. couldn't agree more with you here sir.... |

really? I actually think that remake is pretty boring and uninspiring.
I'm not in a position to technically critique the thing...but the pitch (?) of the sax and trumpet sounds awful and too much of the vocals have been pulled. the latter bit of the track is decent, but on the whole is pretty damn weak (IMHO, of course).
then again, I consider St. Germain's original to be among the finest in the genre and feel that some classics just shouldn't be touched :whip: |

Of course the original is a classic, but the remix is just does something to the floor. As I said, I was just happy to hear it in the right place and the right time, as opposed to my headphones. |

fair enough. maybe I'm just being overly critical, lol. I just transferred over a bunch of music to iTunes and have rediscovered that album after having it out of the rotation for far too long :D |
