What an awesome night!! Started off with Cosmic Gate, was suitable for a warm-up. Then headed to Guv for Richie Hawtin's killer set!! Wow! Last time i saw Hawtin was in Mod club a couple years ago, i wouldn't mind seeing him again soon! Next, headed back to KH for Ferry's set, definitely kept me movin! he played an awesome set overall, but i was more into the end part, where he picked it up a little. Then checked out Dubfire, i think it's the first time i've heard him play..rockin set!! loved it! Headed up to skybar for a while. We didn't stand in line, but the only place we could find a spot was right at the back, and even then there wasn't any room to dance!! :(:( I think one of my favourite parts of the night was hearing Greg Gow's set in the cathouse/ drink! first time i've heard him and i was totally impressed! he played some wicked tracks!!! Overall an amazing night... i love how guv complex is so huge but u always run into all your friends!! it was good to see and party with everyone again!!!

It was OK. Better than I expected after last year's experience, but not anything I'm proud to say I spent $50 on.

Richie Hawtin (the only reason I went) was very good. He played good bangin' techno in spite of his ty time slot. I stayed for the whole 2 hours.

Hung out in or around the Orange Room from around 2 to 2:30, enjoyed that. I think it was supposed to be Jon Jon playing that set time but I couldn't really see.

Then chilled outside for a bit and spent the rest of the night in the Drink. Osawa either played late or was tag-teaming it with Adam Freeland. Either way, some pretty groovy house tunes until close to 3:30 I think. Adam Freeland was playing Adam Freeland stuff: decent danceable breaks with a generous helping of angst. Nothing incredibly original or mind-blowingly funky, but competent. I only really stayed until 4 so he may have switched it up later.

The good thing about the Drink was that population density was sane. The not-so-good thing was that the temperature was about 986° C and I had forgotten to bring my own personal air conditioner unit, or at least a bag of potatoes to deep-fry in one of the sizzling sweat puddles.

Oh, and I did attempt to catch Ferry's set in the Kool Haus, but after 26 seconds I was feeling an overpowering urge to knock back 8 pills, fling my shirt into the crowd, extend my arms out in pistols and start groin-moshing with other dudes, so I decided I had to get out of there.

(Yes, I posted that just to piss off the trance crackers, and yes, it's also completely true. Deal with it.)

good times

ferry rocked kool huas...how is dj playing his hits "dated"? when you go see any artist don't you want to hear their classics??

wandered into guv for richie..i was impressed with his set but it was too busy so didn't stay long

lawler's skybar set was rather underwhelming..maybe i should have caught him at cz

ferry played some awesome tunes and the crowd in the KH was great! anyone know which remix of andain's beautiful things he played? cosmic gate didnt reli do it for me so decided to check out the skybar instead which was great cuz there was room to move up there. the only annoying thing was this group of dudes who kept walkin around in circles trina get ppl to buy drugs off them lol..

btw anyone have an idea of lawler's last track in the main room?

Digi-nut's post killed me...LMAO!

Hawtin was everything I wanted out of him, despite the time slot and the absolutely RAMMED TO THE main room. Banging, throbbing techno. Definitely the highlight of my whole night.

Cam's set in Orange room didn't move me...I felt it was too hard for that early in a night and too transient a crowd (people just walking from main room to koolhaus for the majority of the time). However, the big guy gave it everything he had, and the short bus picked him up shortly afterwards with a shiny star for effort.

Jon Jon--your set in Orange room was WICKED man. I loved the green velvet and Michael Jackson tracks woven into the first few of the tracks, and you definitely nailed some of that transient crowd and kept them there. Well done man!!

Ferry Corsten had some wicked melancholy trance going on that had me wishing I could call my parents and resolve all the evil woe between us...then I started to slide towards ripping my shirt off like Diginut described.

Manzone and Strong did a great job up in Skyboard prior to Lawler keeping the beats gr00vy but the atmosphere social. The guys are masters between environment and banging tunes. Skybar looked great, just like Jay's pictures from last weekend showed.

Good times. I love guv all access events...amazing variety and fantastic collections of energy.
