Glad someone else noticed how monotonous that set was. Same ing beat for at least an hour.
They drove me out of Skybar |
I can honestly say the only time I've ever enjoyed one of their sets was at comfort zone. |

Gosh I sound awful and I think I gave myself away because I definitely don't sound Can-EH!-dian.
So I apologize to everyone who has had to suffer through that and I'm sorry I ruined what would have been a better video.
Please forgive me and I hope that you can find it deep within your heart of hearts to let me into your country again. |
No you don't sound Canadian but you do sound like an ignorant American for continuing to spell it wrong. |

while Manzone and Strong BORED me to death. Geesh guys, play the same darn rhythm for an hour and see how far that gets you in the DJ world. I wanted to hijack your dexks and open up for Lawler properly. |
manzone and strong did not open for lawler on skybar. |

My apologies. I hope you accept. I tried to be funny but I guess I didn't realize that I was being annoying instead. I won't go there again.
By the way...I originally mislabeled this track here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=48CUUusuUFs
If someone can let me know what the name of it was, I'll go ahead and update the info on the video.
Again loads more videos coming in the days ahead but I REALLY need to get some rest.
Thanks. |

Ferry was awesome. I walked into KH when made of love PA was being played and it reminded me of Sarah and how she loves that song (definately missed her by my side at guv! :(). I've seen Ferry quite a few times as well but I gotta say this was one of my favorite times since he played some darker/harder trance and it almost reminded me of Schulz a few times. |
agree - his set was no fluff whatsoever, but I felt like he's losing me at points - some of the transitions from 1 track to another were weird
the last hour was probably the best part of his set :) totally reminded me how much I love his productions! |

Wasn't it the junkies? I could be wrong, but i also found the end of the set dragged on and on. |

its funny because i seem to recall people asking when they should get up to skybar and i said they need to get up there early if they want to avoid a line. other ta's would say last year they had no problem last year. i left skybar around 6:20 and there was still a line in the drink waiting to get up. |
I went up at 5am with zero problem. No line at all. I know a lot of people who went up between 4:30-6 and only a few of them had to wait in line, so I stand by what I said (aka that it wouldn't be nearly as bad as last year)

Funky,
Ya know...I thought a couple of his transitions were interesting as well. It's as if he reset his set more times than usual.
I guess I'm just a huge fan and didn't mind and I was just in awe about the whole setting (we just don't get that kinda thing down south here in the states and the clubs in DC just don't compare).
But I find it interesting that someone else noticed something particular about his transitions as well. |

No problem. Once is funny, multiple times is annoying. |

i had a pretty good time. i really enjoyed ritchie's set even though i was bitter about the set times. i liked dubfire as well, even though i always never want to like him. dunno. stuck around for a bit of lawler in the main room and then made our way upstairs. holy - i was ready to jump over the railing of the skybar. i do not remember it EVER being that packed before. finally we found a spot to hide in the corner where i was practically IN a garbage can but at least i could breathe. and then some douchebag wouldn't stop bothering me and offered to help me jump off the railing if i flashed him. uhhhhh.....no, mate. you're a twat. then we started freezing by the railing so moved closer to the front, where there seemed to be a bit more space. by 7:00 i was ready to leave...inhaling too much of other people's nasty smoke and horrible bodily stenches, but we stuck around until almost the end.
i had way more fun than i thought (inside) but the skybar kind of annoyed the out of me, which is usually the opposite of what happens. i don't think i will go again, i'm over it.
ps. margs you were right - it didn't rain!!! :) |
